West Ham are currently protecting a lead away from home against a side high up in the table.
However, I'm a little confused. They are sitll playing their way out, creating chances, getting shots on target and are capable of stringing 5 passes together.
I was told earlier that what we attempted was the perfect away performance. West Ham's performance must be the best performance in the history of football.
Or.. too many people on here are giving far too much credit for what was a poor display which we undeservedly came away with one point. This leads to standards and expectations sinking to embarrassing levels like what many now deem a good performance, which is actually not good enough. |  |

It isn't an attempt to troll though is it. It is quite clearly 100% true.
West Ham, another team in a relegation scrap, are showing it is not out of the question to play well for (as of now) 80 minutes.
Yet many of our fans think it is fine to play like that for 45 minutes and then spend the entire second half trying to hold out as if it's the final 30 seconds of injury time, smashing clearances straight to their keeper and defending non stop for 45 minutes.
The sh*t football introduced by Garry and continued by Guidolin and Bradley has had a psychological effect on many of our fans. Many have reverted back to thinking we are plucky little old Swansea doing well just to get a shot off against the stars of... Everton?

Dwight, there is no doubt we need to do more if we are to have any chance of staying up this year. But give the team a break, today was far better than anything we have managed this season so far.
