that's because they were gifted a goal in the first 10 minutes!
then the pressure is right on us, with their superior squad of players and confidence.
but until the 2nd went in, they hadn't really looked like adding to it, and we had a few chances.
if they had gone down to 10, the crowd would have lifted a notch and our play too, knowing what happened at Watford.
That’s my point. Yes, they were gifted a goal but we couldn’t score. With 68% possession they didn’t have a lot to worry about and they didn’t have to because they scored after 12 minutes and dominated us without even moving out of first gear. Another meek surrender on our own patch

Liverpool had 80% possession against Burnley last season and lost 2-0!!
Didn't mean to down vote that. But they were pretty comfy. Second half a couple of wobbles and we made a game of it, but we didn't really look like scoring.

The goal was coming in the first half, they were dominant in second gear before they scored and had it been rightly disallowed, I expect they’d have still scored before half time.
The second yellow Sanchez should have had was more of a key moment, we had come back into it at that point and had they gone down to 10, may well have got something out of the game.

Watford were pretty comfy for about 80 minutes - look how that ended. We've seen it both ways, teams having only one chance and scoring to take a point or all three. Enough in that Spurs game for us to at least had a point, even allowing for them to have scored.

We haven't looked like scoring in a lot of games this season....however I wouldn't include Tuesdays game.
Narsingh had a great chance, Ayew went round keeper but couldn't convert, ricochet header from VDH hit the post. All good chances.
