Syria World War 3 on 21:45 - Apr 16 by Lord_Bony | Well it's only my viewpoint as you have yours. But I've just seen so much false flags and "evidence" the last twenty years by most governments, including Russia, that's turned out to be bullshit to drag us into a conflict,it's just made me a bit cynical...I don't just take Sky News as gospel. I like to read as many different sources and then make my own mind up. We nearly got into a full scale war with Russia before any evidence was produced and without consulting our own parliament. In my opinion that was a pretty dangerous and stupid thing to do. We still don't know how this is going to end. Other opinions welcome of course. |
The Russians lying was FACT not a viewpoint but I totally understand your view on false flag. The evidence (level) some of the public want will not be given as it is too sensitive - unless another government declassifies some info but I doubt that. I never watch Sky news - usually BBC news and Al Jazeera, also if an American angle I flick between US broadcasters until I find a coherent and factual broadcast. Opinions are always welcome but they are trumped by fact. The issue is that the facts can be elusive, even more so when a Nation State adept at propaganda muddy the waters (and no, I don't mean the effing Tories! )

Syria World War 3 on 21:53 - Apr 16 by Brynmill_Jack | https://www.google.co.uk/amp/s/amp.washingtontimes.com/news/2013/may/6/syrian-re Shut busted. Indeed. Here's one for Bluey too https://www.google.co.uk/amp/s/www.timesofisrael.com/syrian-rebels-used-nerve-ga This has been out there for quite a few years (from 2012 onwards) and would have definitely been a part of intelligence the UK and the west would have been party to. So now your myth has been busted by the united nations and the times of Israel are you going to concede that there is a possibility that the rebels carried out the most recent attack in Eastern Ghoutta???? And, taking that into account (as well as the OPCW recent report 3 weeks ago which stated 25 out of 27 chemical weaponry installation had been destroyed by the Assad regime) are you now willing to contemplate that your government has wilfully ignored the OPCW's advice and blatantly lied to the country by saying that only the regime has had the capability to discharge these weapons against its civilians? I doubt you will but evidence is building day on day which will eventually expose this episode for what it really is. Last point - I don't know about you but if I were a Syrian civilian I don't think I'd be very keen on the munificent west blasting missiles into chemical arms dumps anywhere near where I lived. In fact it would be an incredibly reckless course of action, you know, blasting chemicals up into the air. People could be gassed. [Post edited 16 Apr 2018 21:58]

Not in 2017, nice try. Also referring to 2013 s you have "UN's Carla Del Ponte says there is evidence rebels 'may have used sarin' in Syria" Funny,a more poitive assertion wasn't good enough for you when it came form our government on the Salisbury case. https://www.independent.co.uk/news/world/middle-east/uns-carla-del-ponte-says-th Since 2012 there have been around 40 (alleged) chemical attacks with the majority attributed to ASSAD. Ghouta - Macron says Assad and they've released some declassified intel to back this up. Is it possible Ghouta was carried out by rebels ...sure it's possible. Credible/likely, it's not looking that way and if the Russians haven't cleaned up nor laid a false trail ready for FIVE DAY AFTER the arrival of the OPCW we may get some evidence either way. With the civil war I wouldn't want to be a Syrian, full stop. Just a question as I don't know the answer how close are the civilian population to the possibly secret chemical weapons factory. Do you know whether they used incendiary munitions against the chemical laboratory?

Here is another quote from Ms Del Ponte (2017), pointing the finger of blame... "...She argued that without a special tribunal to prosecute the situation in Syria, reports would remain without consequences since countries like Russia and China, who have veto power in the U.N. Security Council, have consistently blocked meaningful action." https://www.huffingtonpost.co.uk/entry/carla-del-ponte-quits-syria-commission_us

F*cling hell you're wrapped in bacofoil ducky. Don't forget to baste yourself! I don't know if many civilians live near to any of these 27 installations. I'm sure some must live relatively closely though surely? But as 25 of the 27 were completely decommissioned in front of the OPCW inspectors perhaps there was little or no danger in any case. I'm sure not even Trump would be thick enough to bomb chemical weapons dumps. So in conclusion some Sabre rattling which has only served to waste 10 million plus of our taxes , just to prop up our ailing PM.

The OPCW got there as quickly as they could...the Russians from experience know how fast they can deploy. The western attacks, no matter how wrong, DID NOT target Ghouta so the OPCW should have been escorted in either Saturday p.m. for a preliminary or Sunday a.m. - the Russians delayed them, no one else.

The point your wilfully ignoring was that Del Ponte exposed the rebels as having Sarin gas and using it on civilians in and around Aleppo . You said the rebels never had Sarin. You were wrong, admit it.

No she didn't - "may have" -and both America and France called bùllshit. But let's put that aside for the moment. Early in the conflict Syria stated that the rebels may have CW's which they had taken from defeated Syrian units. I believe the west reply was well you would say that but even if your right it is your responsibility to remove them from the rebels and the usual hooha ensued. Later somebody stated that along with the destruction of syrian CW's (certain types or all...don't remember) the only capability the rebels had was chlorine gas.. i don't have the details as I wasn't expected to be tested...Also a quick search has turned up no details. Now if something else turns up and I'm proven wrong then I'm going to have to re-evaluate. The one thing that stands out for me is that as soon as the west accuses Syria AND starts getting antsy the Russians (realising that they've fùcked up perhaps?), firstly, state it was a rebel false flag and later on they claim it was a rebel false flag supported/planned by the UK...how credible is that. If you believe Russia it is you in the bacofoil. As you've reverted to calling me ducky can I call you Fringemill? p.s. did you see my reply to your food waste comment

Now straight back at you Last year Russia and Syria said that Syria didn't use Sarin those neocons at Human Rights Watch disagree(as did pretty much everyone else in the world) https://www.hrw.org/report/2017/05/01/death-chemicals/syrian-governments-widespr And reading the article I noticed (for the first time) that Ghouta was targeted by Assad before!!!!! Russia claimed a ChemicalWeapon false flag... the same Russia who lied to the world about the Swiss OPCW test for the Salisbury case. When are you going to countenance anything other than despotic regimes being responsible?

Even though i imagine that you are as frustrated with me as I am with you this last point I have is not an attempt to wind you up but something I forgot to mention earlier. As part of Russia's claim that it was a rebel gas attack they showed pictures of an alleged chemical weapons lab. Chemical experts debunked it...stating why the claim was bogus. This is like the shooting down of the Malaysian jet over the Ukraine again. Russian denials, counter claims, claims being debunked by experts and another bogus claim by Russia, then that debunked...rinse and repeat. I know that Russia is an ever so easy bogeyman for the west to pillory but so often they are scummy and transparent and with Salisbury and Syria they are transparent. Putin got the mood of Europe wrong and as ever double downs on the lies.
