Surely the relevant point is that the subsidy does not come from outside the UK. The EU may be the channel, but it is not the source. It really doesn't matter how much money is in the pot it's no different to the trade unions bank rolling labour or them collection £3 for membership or some posh Oxbridge numpty chucking half a million at the tory's.
