Trump's racist attack on 01:31 - Jul 30 by snork44

Lisa, what Trump said about the four stupid little girls was crass, immature and offensive, but what he said about Baltimore is sadly true. It is after Chicago , Detroit and LA as one of most violent and deprived cities in the United States. Bernie Sanders said basically the same thing in his election campaign in 2015 and no one attacked Bernie then. The media mainly CNN,NBC and ABC are going apoplectic about it and Nancy Pelosi has nearly gone into orbit , just because Trump in his ham fisted way replied to Elijah Cummings saying he should try and improve his city instead of bumping his gums about conditions in the detention centers on the border. Cummings is African American , so any criticism of him must be racist!

This Friday , we are going to have the Democratic debates if Bernie Sanders or Joe Biden disagrees with Kamela Harries or Cory Booker , will they be considered racist or in the case of Harries sexist as we'll just because they disagree with a person of colour or the opposite gender, conversely would Booker and Harries be accused of being ageist against Biden or Sanders if they disagreed with them? Throwing terms like racism or sexism willy nilly cheapens those terms that in the end no one will be able to have a debate and people will be walking on egg shells frightened to say anything that may cause offence.

Trump's racist attack on 23:26 - Jul 29 by Humpty

Absolutely laughable.

Trump attacked Cummings because he criticized Homeland Security officials for what's happening on the border.

Expect similar attacks on people of colour in the run up to 2020, because that's what his supporters like to hear. Isn't it Tummer?

Being the individualist, anti-collectivist I am, I won't speak for anybody else. But no, I don't want to see attacks on people due to their color because I am not a racist.

However, I'm fine with him continuing to attack (or rather, defend himself against) any idiots with Trump Derangement Syndrome whose only goal is to blindly oppose everything he says and does no matter what, even when it mirrors what everyone (like Socialist Bernie Sanders) has said before.

And yes Lisa, I'm fine with him criticizing the insane "Squad."

Now, if "go back to where they came from" was a complete and contextual summary of what he said about the Squad, yes, that would be bad. But it isn't. This is exactly what he said:

"Why don’t they go back and help fix the totally broken and crime infested places from which they came. Then come back and show us how it is done."

Condescending perhaps, but certainly a lot less vitriolic than the words he typically uses to fight back against his political opponents, and what is used against him. If I were advising him, I'd suggest an apology to Ocasio-Cortez, Pressley, and Tlaib for ONLY the part that suggested they weren't native-born. But in the grand scheme of things, that's really picking nits, especially in comparison to the lies they tell about him.

In any case, I'd go on but this is derailing the thread, which is about Trump's comments about Baltimore. Perhaps you are changing the subject because you realize how ridiculous and hypocritical this latest flair up of TDS is, so you point at something else to avoid admitting I'm right. I get it.

Trump is no doubt a bully but throwing the racist card about over everything he says is getting ridiculous now. Here’s a Baltimore resident talking about the rats and calling out that Bloke herself.

No surprise that the African American woman who posted this (not the one interviewed, but the Baltimore-based political commentator who interviewed her) is now being attacked by the Left.

There's nothing the Left hates more than "Blexits" who don't fall in line, and rather choose to think for themselves. They have a rather sinister interest in keeping Black people down to maintain their own power.

Telling people from ethnic minority backgrounds who were born and raised in the US to go back to where they came from is racist.

It’s not difficult to understand.

So if Trump labelled your home town that has a large population of black people a 'rat infested hole', would you agree or not?

If it's the former then seriously mate, you need to give your head a wobble. It's casual, mindless racism no matter what you try and wrap it up in. America has become embroiled in racism that if you protest about it you are labelled a racist.

But it's not.

Trump launched his 2016 presidential campaign with a speech where he stated of Mexican immigrants: "They're bringing drugs. They're bringing crime. They're rapists. And some, I assume, are good people".

Later, his claims that a Mexican-American judge should be disqualified due to his ethnicity were criticized as racist. He tweeted fake statistics claiming that African Americans are responsible for the majority of murders of white Americans, and in some speeches he linked African Americans and Hispanics with violent crime.

During his presidency, comments he made following a white supremacist rally in Charlottesville, Virginia, were perceived as implying a moral equivalence between white supremacist marchers and those who protested against them. In 2018, during an Oval Office meeting about immigration reform, he referred to El Salvador, Haiti, and African countries as "shitholes", this comment was internationally condemned as racist.

Yeah but he's not a racist. Even if proven that he isn't, he is still a f ucking idiot for saying those things.

Firstly, when you say ‘stupid little girls’, I imagine you meant to say ‘elected congresswomen’.

Disagreeing with people’s politics is not an excuse for attempting to demean or belittle them. Your language is offensive and misogynistic.

Trump was not only crass and immature, but was openly, blatantly, racist. Largely because he is not only crass and immature but openly, blatantly, racist.

Baltimore may well be violent and deprived, but the reason Trump made the comments he did was because he was being criticised and he lashed out because he can’t take criticism. The language he used was, as increasingly is the case, laced with racism. Because if there’s one thing Trump hates even more than criticism, it’s being criticised by someone he believes to be ‘less’ than he is. So anyone black, or a Muslim, or a woman, he lashes out with particular venom.

That is saying ‘go back to where you came from’. Oh, and look, there’s that word ‘infested’ again.

It’s racist. Full stop. Even if they weren’t US born and bred it’s racist. The assumption that someone isn’t US born and bred because they’re black is racist.

If you can’t see that and in fact, are arguing against it, guess what, you’re racist.

And I’m not changing the subject. I pointed out earlier in the thread that Trump doesn’t deserve the benefit of the doubt when it comes to race, because he’s shown himself over and over to be racist. This was an example. A recent one. To prove the point being made.

Yes 'four stupid little girls!' , who have the collective mental capacity of a piece of shit. If you listen to the four of them speak it is excruciating! Plessley just comes across as a bitter woman who can't accept that Trump got elected by a democratic vote, Omar is the same , just she is instantly dislikable , she cannot condemn terrorism , she described the 9/11 attacks as 'some people did some things' No 19 Al Quada terrorists murdered over 3,000 innocent human beings some of the first responders are dying today due to the dust and pollutants that were in the air on that day. AOC has the speaking style and demeanor of a six year old , there are times on committees on Capital Hill , she has been shown up to be unintelligent because she basically is stupid beyond belief , as for Talib words come out , but nothing of substance is uttered. These idiots are getting more attention from the 20 candidates that are battling for the nomination to stand against Trump in next years election, if these four are the future of the Democratic Party , God help America in the next 15 to 20 years.
