That went well

Swansea Indepenent Poster Of The Year 2021. Dr P / Mart66 / Roathie / Parlay / E20/ Duffle was 2nd, but he is deluded and thinks in his little twisted brain that he won. Poor sod. We let him win this year, as he has cried for a whole year. His 14 usernames, bless his cotton socks.

We just need to cancel the season now because of the Miley Cyrus and it’ll be just fine.

Speaking purely from a neutral point of view, I thought that Madrid were always in control of the game, it was only a matter of time before their extra class shone through.

Even though a lot of fans said he was too slow and old.
I thought llorente was a great player and signing for our club.

You must have been watching a different game to me. (Also a neutral)

Liverpool 29 shots (14 on target) to 10.
Liverpool 16 corners to 3.
Possession 66% - 34%

Liverpool dominated the game, the difference was the goalkeepers. Adrian saved 3/6, Oblak saved 12/14, that was the difference tonight.

Complacency clearly has a part to play here. I have always understood that in sport you should field the strongest side available to you and certainly as it is Klopp's team he should be in attendance at all games.
If the manager takes the attitude that a game is in the bag and he doesn't need to attend, then that cockiness is bound to spread to the rest of the squad

That's correct G.

He needs to have a good look at himself if he wants to win multiple PL titles.

City, Chelsea, manure et al wont all be as poor in the next few seasons.

Klopp - 'why do they have to play like that when they have so many world class players'

Because they needed to play like that to give them the best chance of winning, DERRR

He's a bad loser, but he admits it, so that makes it OK somehow? If he wants to point the finger, it should be at his players for not finishing better (Oblak made plenty of saves, but the majority of them were routine) and at himself for continually buying poor keepers.

At least no poor linesman got covered with phlegm last night, unlike at the weekend.

You know, Hobbes, some days even my lucky rocket ship underpants don't help.

You like most of the pundits in world football fail to see it.

Liverpool dominated because Atletico allowed them to. They invited Liverpool onto them because they believe in their own defence. If they had been expansive and tried to outscore they would have been battered.

Perfect example of more then one way to to win a football match. Plan A didn't work for Liverpool tonight but against that defence I don't think any plan would've done

Exactly. Those stats are pretty meaningless. Did Oblak make any game winning saves?

A couple of decent ones from distance. nothing that you wouldn't expect him to save. They were forced to shoot from distance. Any really good chances Liverpool had they wasted.
