The Labour Party in Wales privatised the cleaning services in Welsh Hospitals some years ago leaving the poorest paid section of the NHS workforce even worse off despite the constant screaming by the same party about never privatising the NHS, not forgetting of course that the entire GP system in this country also consists entirely of private businesses.

I'd reiterate the staggering double forked hypocrisy of the Labour Party but I presume that its already universally acknowledged and of course accepted by the hypocrites who support the Labour.

It's a damn good job that we have the unbiased BBC and Panorama to hold these political parties and the NHS to account.

The NHS has received less investment under the Tory governments of last 10 years.

But Trident replacement costs £205 billion.

Johnson OUT.

Thatcher started the internal market in the NHS and increased the costs with her meddling, but it has gradually been privatised by successive govts ever since

Correct, just as there was only one party that was previously in government that virtually bankrupted the country ( as usual) leaving no alternative to years of austerity.

They left office with a £170bn annual deficit in place plus the off book obsecenity of Private Finance initiative which McDoom used to keep the most expensive borrowing terms imaginable off the treasury books thus pretending that it wasn't a Ponzi HP scheme which is still pinning Health Trusts to the wall financially now and for many years to come

It seems to be only self proclaimed so called socialists who don't seem to realise that without raising the money that you spend, one day you'll go to the cashpoint and find your card rejected because there is no more borrowing left available to you.

No country balances it's books it's impossible to finance a country with tax alone. Every country has to borrow money and that's why national debts go up.Banks are happy if the interest is paid, National debts are irrelevant as they cannot be paid off.Money has no longer any value

They also forget that we had a world economic crash in 2008 which we had to bail out the bankers.

So you're saying that there hasn't been austerity since the last Labour bankrupting government then and that debt accrueing spending has carried on as before?

So what's all the whining about?

Perhaps I may so bold as to direct to the words of praise from one Mr Gordon McDoom former labour chancellor of the exchequer on the day that he opened the new offices of the now defunct Lehman brothers bank widely regarded as major players in the world economic crash.

--------------------

LONDON, April 5, 2004 — The Rt Hon Gordon Brown, MP, Chancellor of the Exchequer, today officially opened Lehman Brothers’ new European headquarters building at 25 Bank Street, Canary Wharf, London.

Commenting on the event, the Rt Hon Gordon Brown, MP, Chancellor of the Exchequer, said: “I would like to pay tribute to the contribution you and your company make to the prosperity of Britain.

During its one hundred and fifty year history, Lehman Brothers has always been an innovator, financing new ideas and inventions before many others even began to realise their potential.

And it is part of the greatness not just of Lehman Brothers but of the City of London, that as the world economy has opened up, you have succeeded not by sheltering your share of a small protected national market but always by striving for a greater and greater share of the growing global market.”

--------------------

Mr McDoom also of course played his part in the financial crash before reinventing history and later claiming that his actions cleaned the mess up despite years and years of his labour government deregulating financial safeguard after safeguard in homage to the friends in the City that the Labour Party had courted relentlessly whilst in opposition.

So I repeat, are you claiming that there hasn't been austerity and that spending and borrowing has actually increased under the Tories just as the Labour Party were asking for?

I have very little time for the conservatives myself by the way.

Back to the point - putting Afghanistan and Iraq aside arguably the biggest missed opportunity was the approach to education. 0.5 billion a year spent on school IT (which was buy iPads with no strategy as to how to use them) and a achievement rate gravy train. However, would I prefer that over the authoritarian populists who throw slogans out? I'd have to say yes

Money and religion, the 2 biggest cons of all time. The planet and it's resources belong to all of us not just the 1%.
