It depends on the buy back clause. If he excells they can simply buy him back and sell him again for much more. I do not think buy back cluases should be allowed. They are anti competetive. The super teams have a big problem. Whatever they pay they cannot keep more thant 15-16 players happy indefinately.

Benik Afobe was at Wolves and sold to Bouremouth with buy back claused of £10m,

Benik did not hit the heights and happy to rejoin his old club Wolves and re estblish himself but found himself sold to Stoke for £12.5m 11 days later. He was not best pleased I recall.

Agreed. And the look on his face when Brewster missed that pen reminded me of the same look (albeit toned down significantly) when Karius screwed up.

Brewster is not a Klopp-type for some very obvious reasons.

Sheffield is a poor move for Brewster, for similar reasons.
