Latest Swansea City are keeping quiet on the extent of the injury to Andre Ayew, and any time he needs to recover. He returned to the treatment table after one game away with Ghana having scored two goals to clinch victory over Sudan. It is likely he will miss the game against Rotherham as will Ben Cabango and Morgan Gibbs-White.

Rotherham point of view Caz Neale writes Rotherham United’s next game in the Championship sees them travelling to the South West coast of Wales to take on Swansea City. April 2019 was the last time the pair met at the Liberty Stadium which ended up being a seven goal thriller. A long throw from Will Vaulks was cleared by the hosts but only back to the Millers Welsh midfielder who sent the ball back into the box for Michael Ihiekwe to touch it past Swans’ ‘keeper Kristoffer Nordfeldt and into the net. Oli McBurnie got an equaliser on thirty-six minutes but another long throw from Vaulks two minutes later found Matt Crooks who regained the Millers lead. Swansea came out the better in the second half and five minutes in got a second equaliser after Daniel James got past the Millers defence to send the ball to Barrie McKay who headed home. On sixty-nine minutes the hosts went in front for the first time in the game thanks to a George Byers shot that appeared to go in off the arm of Kyle Naughton and ten minutes later McBurnie curled his second and the Swans fourth into the net. But the Millers put up a fight and Vaulks shot went in from the underside of the crossbar with Nordfeldt having to make a good save minutes later from Michael Smith. The Millers lost four-three and left feeling angry that the hosts’ third goal had been allowed to stand.
The time before that the Millers were at the Liberty Stadium in the league was in League One two days before Christmas in 2006 when the game ended one-all. Eugen Bopp put the Millers in front eleven minutes into the second half but on the stroke of full time Adebayo Akinfenwa got an equaliser. The last time Rotherham beat Swansea at their home was in April 2006 when an own goal on sixteen minutes from Garry Monk and a goal fifteen minutes later from Gregor Robertson gave the Millers all points from this Easter Monday game.
The first time the teams met on Swansea soil was in the Old Division Two in December 1951 at Vetch Field. The hosts won five-nil on the day.
Let’s look back to 1988 Play off first leg,

Swansea held Rotherham to a draw in the away leg 1-1 and progressed to the final where the swans were triumphant 5-4 over two legs v Torquay.
What do we know about Rotherhams Rotherham are called the millers, which means they are windy and talk a lot of hot air. They are famous for having Howard Webb the referee as a fan, and a bloke from Muse. One of the dead Chuckle brothers supports Rotherham as does the one who is still alive. They are thought of as the most famous Rotherham supporters. Even though they are dead, or nearly dead, whichever one you are talking about. This is a picture of the Chuckle brothers yesterday
One eyed goalkeeper Gordon Banks was born in Rotherham, Gordon is thought of as one of the best goalkeepers of all time, and even when he had one eye like Herod he should have carried on because people said he was the best even with one arm tied behind his back, so one eye is nothing and it’s a lot smaller. Unfortunately he is dead now as well, but still probably better than Erwin Mulder. Another phenomenon of Rotherham is that David Seaman is also from this place. David was also a goalkeeper with girls hair and a deep voice like Pam the Butcher in Eastenders. David is best remembered for having long hair, and then when he got it cut nobody recognised him, even his wife, sometimes he would startle himself when he looked in the mirror. He thought another man was living in his house for two years until he realised another man was actually living in his house and interfering with Mrs Seaman on Saturday afternoons when David was being a goalie.

This is David when he had long hair
And finally, in 2008 the good people of Rotherham were the most overweight people in the country, or maybe even the world if Yorkshire is all you know. Fortunately The award-winning integrated obesity service in Rotherham was launched and was a great success. After only two years the service had been so successful the obesity rate increased by 14% and the amount of fast food outlets in the small town increased by over 50%. Of course this is now a world wide problem, unless of course you live in a country where there is little or no food like Barnsley or Forfar. By 2013 Rotherham had maintained its title with an ever increasing population of extra fat, and the most people with toes falling off outside of Towcester. In recent years this has got worse and more people now are not as fat as they were, so someone needs to have a word somewhere. Rotherham is the capital of Yorkshire and has been since time began, or when god invented grass even. When time was invented Rotherham was the testing area, everybody knew it was there, so millions of people from Farnborough and Jersey went there to see what time was all about. When they all left nobody said a word for years as they were so impressed. Unfortunately because nobody said anything it all came to nothing. The phrases ‘ I know’ ‘ Yes I know’ ‘I’ll tell thee’ and ‘'No' were all used first in Rotherham. The second phrase ‘Yes I know’ replaced ‘Aye I know’ on the 3rd of Match 1932. Strangely the word ‘whippet’ was banned in 1974 and the term ‘Leisure Centre’ replaced it.
This is a Rotherham whippet, you can see from its arched back and slightly peculiar facial expression the reason why it is now referred to as a Leisure Centre. Note also the third rear leg growing from its anus, this is merely to protect it from unwanted invasions from local folk
Well, that’s it, another foray as it were in to our opponents this weekend, some stuff you didn’t know included we are sure. Later on we will include up to date football news on the game but don’t tell anyone from Rotherham. They will probably already know.
If you are ever a visiting supporter of a team coming to Swansea and you are being truthfully documented on here - and are offended, tough, it’s your history, deal with it.

We played a typically robust Championship team and were unlucky to not coast to a 3-0 drubbing. A fixture we most probably would have lost last season.
Missing our talismanic world class leader and top goal scorer.
I'm not sure how lucky we were today. Should have been 3-0 before the defensive action started.
Well, we don't often get a soft goal like that, and even Leon on Swans TV thought our opponents had a clear pen. Then there was the ball that ran along our line, before being booted away near the end. I would say we had a fair rub of the green. What do they say? "Give me lucky generals..."

We scored a rather fortunate goal, missed 3 open goals, we just about cleared a ball off our line, and they had a clear penalty not given.
Unlucky ? I thought we were very lucky to get all 3 points.

I think it’s increasingly clear that if we are to do well and go up this year it’ll be because of our very strong defence rather than any attacking prowess.
I make that 6 clean sheets in 12 games so far. Not bad considering we don’t have a big strong keeper if you listen to the expert analysis on here.
We do he just ain't playing.

Missing a goal scorer. But another 3 points, great start to the season. Keep it going.

Agreed. Perhaps a bit of evening out for the Bristol City penalty and not having that bit of good fortune at Brentford and Norwich.

For me this was a match we would have lost in previous seasons. Big physical side, after the international break and they are down the bottom of the league. Incredible how often we have lost when these 3 factors come into play. Very good first half and we had to battle in the second. They had a decent call for a penalty and we had a scramble after Freddie dropped the ball on his line when he should have easily collected. Other than that we missed what must be deemed 3 open goals. Yes their goalie perhaps could have done better but it came through a crowd of players. How often do you see that happening? Score could easily have been 4 - 1. We have showed we can win playing decent football at times and also grind out a result when it gets ugly. I am happy and still optimistic for the future.

Our finishing is appalling .Lowe gonna be bashing them in for fun? Fair play,I could do with a laugh. We most certainly need a striker or maybe Vic can get a decent run.
3 points gratefully accepted but please dont let anyone tell me that was great in any way.
Why have we collected a team squad that is so lacking in physical presence.

What disappoints me is the total lack of composure in the final 20 minutes or so of the game. We gave up trying to play football and just put the boot to it. Swans’ philosophy used to be ‘if we have the ball, they can’t score’ - absolutely crucial when defending a narrow lead. We outpassed them first half so why did we give up passing in the second half? Extremely fortunate to win what should have been a very comfortable victory. I have no nails left.

Great result against a physical side. The only physical player we have is Lowe who works hard and puts himself about about.he takes a lot of pressure off some of our lightweight players. We look a lot stronger than last season

We're getting better at it than we have been for most of Cooper's tenure thus far. Last season there's no way we'd have held on for the win.
Defensively we're pretty solid. Midfield has improved greatly since Fulton made the DM role his own, and we've still got MGW to come back. Add a cutting edge one way or another and there's absolutely nothing in this division that we need to fear.
If, as expected, Palmer goes back to Brizzle in Jan that opens up one loan slot for a striker. Find ourselves a Brewster/Abraham type and we're in business.
Pain or damage don't end the world. Or despair, or f*cking beatings. The world ends when you're dead. Until then, you got more punishment in store. Stand it like a man... and give some back.

For me Palmer is an absolute bruiser, I would prefer his signature.

We're paying the price for borrowing Woodman when we had Benda available. Was a waste of a loan slot. We could have kept Palmer and added a loan striker in Jan if necessary.
It's limited our options.

Not a fan of Palmer, bit like a cheap Leroy fer.
It's all about squad depth.
Last season we had to play George Byers. This season we've got both Manning and Palmer on the bench.

A game of two halves. 1st half was business as usual, great stuff.
2nd half was a big lesson. Ayew was our missing link, and Cullen (unfortunately) was our weakest link. Thus a double whammy to our frontline.
Hoped Cullen would seize this opportunity to showcase his eye for goal. Without doubt a fox-in-the-box-type would have been on the end of some and created a few other chances. Instead we neither had a goal scorer nor a marauding menace up top. With our backs to the wall we didn't have our usual edge up top, to take the strain or nick a goal.
Overall another big win and another big step up the learning curve.

I would like to see manning, but I can't see where he fits atm.
If Bidwell hadn't metamorphosed into Roberto Carlos we might have seen more of him.
Manning can play central as well though. Again, it's all about having alternatives and depth for a long season to come. In all positions we've got options, except perhaps up front.
