Lol H A HA HA,bloody hell mate, you have missed the point.
I can only put that reply down to you being very very drunk.
My answer stated that you know as we have discussed this previously, I stated that with my inside info that there are so many covid patients in hospitals they are at bursting point and you dismissed it, with no info from you to refute it.
Simple answer and a very true answer, that's why so many areas have gone into lockdown, to protect the NHS.

In fairness, its not just Wales .....
When Marcus Chown (who?) talks about how well Wuhan is doing is he taking into consideration that the statistics he is being furnished with by the Chinese Communist Party might not necessarily be accurate?
Where on Earth do you find these people?
The creatures outside looked from pig to man, and from man to pig, and from pig to man again; but already it was impossible to say which was which.

It isnt just China. Look at places like Singapore, Thailand, Malaysia, New Zealand, Taiwan etc. This is the point that I have been saying for months. Countries that have been very strict have kept cases low and kept businesses going because they realised you cant have everything open and keep the virus in check. Opening borders and pubs during the summer has been our problem and always was going to be.

I suggest you face the real world. Back in June when we re opened non essential shops the number of cases declined. After we opened pubs indoors in early August the number of cases multiplied. Before the cases had time to spread we hit the lowest point. On 12 August we had 8 cases in one day on 12 August. 2 weeks later on 26 August when the effect of pubs opening had happened we had 34 cases a 4 fold increase. By 9 September this had escalated to 165 cases in a day. Again a further 4 fold or greater increase.
Even your friends in Sweden have began to realise that your ideas are nonsense. The fact is there is a massive disparity between the likes of Sweden and Singapore. Have a look at the deaths in each compared to population. That tells you everything. Sweden has 7993 deaths for a population of 10.29 million . Singapore has 29 deaths for a population of 5,704 million. Based on Singapore's deaths rate Sweden should have just over 50 deaths. Sweden has 150 times the rate of death of Sweden. Singapore also has a far higher population density. If that doesnt tell you what works and doesnt there really isnt any hope for you.

David Schneider likes preventing the media from talking about the kind of stuff he gets up to with prostitutes.
What he gets up to in his own spare time is his own business but I’ve always found him an incredibly weird and unlikeable individual so it wouldn’t surprise me if that was the only way he could get girls to sleep with him.
The creatures outside looked from pig to man, and from man to pig, and from pig to man again; but already it was impossible to say which was which.
What do the English Tier 4, the Scottish lockdown and the Welsh Lockdown tell you about the thinking of the various bodies. It strongly suggests that their thinking, by shutting "non essential shops" is that SOCIAL DISTANCING & MASKS DO NO WORK. They started with just social distancing and hand washing and then added masks and the earlier suggestions were that it worked. So all the shops having spent fortunes on re-arranging their shops for social distancing were wasting their time and money?
These governments do more flip flopping than a fish out of water.

How many people go to shops. How many go to pubs. If you want a proper comparison you need to compare the equivalent amounts. People dont generally catch it in shops. They are not next to people long enough. How many people go to Asda, Tesco, Sainsbury's and Morrison's alone every day without the smaller shops and clothes shops. The numbers are very small unlike pubs.

I haven't seen recent numbers but a while back shops caused 13% of new cases and pubs caused 14%. That suggests that you are far more likely to catch it in a pub because very many more people will be in shops than pubs.
The previous points about peoples behaviour and alcohol stand too but people in shops don't behave that way, usually!

What isnt known is how many in shops are due to people loitering and spending time talking to others and not keeping a 2 metre distance. Public Health Wales experts have been clear that at 2 metres it takes 15 minutes to transfer from person to person whilst at 1 metre it takes a minute. Which makes Boris 0ne metre plus rule an absolute nonsense and as with travel he caved into pressure rather than standing firm. Up until August Drakeford was doing everything right but this 4 people on 1 table from different households was always going to be a disaster. If pubs cannot ensure that people dont properly socaially distance they should remain closed forever. There has been a case recently that a pub in Pontardawe has been fined £1000 for not operating in a covid safe way.
So far Castle Hotel Pontardawe Three Compasses Clydach Boss Brewery Landore Villiers Hafod White Swan Swansea High Street Copper Bar Castle Street Old Havana Swansea Noahs Yard Uplands West End AFC Townhill Joiners Bishopston
Have all been found to be breaking rules and there are others. It simply isnt just isolated pubs.

Could I suggest those countries are less obsessed with alcohol consumption.NZ aside, religion would play a part in countries where alcohol is banned or restricted by religion.Alcohol IS our religion

Alcohol isnt as readily available and certainly in Singapore is massively taxed but is much more than that. They locked down very early and didnt let everyone in so prevented the virus largely getting in. They are also far more of a disciplined and law abiding country and the same is probably true of the others.
They dont think you can have freedoms and stop the virus. Their government acted firmly and stopped the virus getting there unlike our who decided to have air bridges with countries that were found too late had the virus and it was brought back here.
Maybe having the experience of having Sars might have led the government to be more pro active than ours.
Some people on here have been critical of what I said about the issues being handled better in Wales than England. The fact is between June and October/November the figures in Wales were lower on a daily basis than in England. Boris continued to open things up and made stupid statements like it would be over by christmas whilst Drakeford was far more cautious and poured scorn over this kind of foolish statement.

I wonder when the next set of figures are analysed will the "experts" take into account the mass queuing caused by a badly thought out plan to close everything , giving the public 7 hours notice . People don't catch it in shops , really ?

If you go back to the first lockdown food shops remained open. The figures still came down. They kept coming down when schools opened in June, when non essential shops opened, when tourist facilities opened and continued coming down from April to August with all those things occurring. When pubs opened indoors there followed an increase in cases. This was made worse by people returning with the virus from abroad going to pubs and other peoples houses and there being increases in infections. If shops were the problem then the figures would not not have continued to drop.

You sre right to point out that being part of the UK is no good for Cymru.
Yeah a massive amount of ROI 's income is corporation tax 80% of which is paid by foreign companies. Yu know, those firms using EU rules to avoid paying tax in countries with higher rates than ROI.
If the EU could change it's corporate tax rules ROI's income would plummet drastically. At the sam time the UK's corporation tax returns would look a lot healthier, which hopefully they will anyway now we have left....well after covid is done with, if ever!

We were just coming out of winter when this virus was recognised , and with the advent of warmer weather people were spending more time outdoors, the autumn spike occurred as the weather conditions deteriorated , Universities colleges schools returned to full time and people by nature just to spend more time indoors , the dropping temperatures, diving relative humidity, and drier respiratory tracts is no ally when fighting off a virus, My daughter in law very recently tested positive and was poorly with 3 kids under 10 and a husband all of whom were not affected. As grateful as I am that they weren't affected I wonder can anyone explain to me how that can happen , living in small home in the same environment for 14 days in total and no negative effects baffles me
