When this is all over ? 19:42 - Jan 13 with 2865 viewsKeithHaynes

I’m sure everyone we know has said this at some point since last March.

But seriously, when will this be over.
My view ? It won’t, we just have to live with it for at least the next two years.

Yes its a Tory led disaster.

85,000 people have died.
Australia have lost 1,000.

Its been handled by a hack who is unfit to govern.
The fact he skipped Cobra meetings tells you lots about him.
He ignored scientific advice, and was out of step with the rest of the world.
He focused on Brexit instead of Covid.

The worst outcomes in the world.

I agree, and still travel abroad is common place, we needed to shut down earlier, and I mean everything, airports, ports the whole lot, look how this new variant has come into the country,FFS. And they are telling us we can't go to the beach for a walk. Its a joke, no wonder folk have had enough, sh!t show doesn't even cover it by half.
Boris on his bike, Piers Morgan in Antigua. They are taking the piss, the elite are at it again.
Yes there are elements who a taking the Mick, but not enough, to cause the deaths we are seeing. Some people need to open their eyes, empty offices, cities like ghost towns, people sitting in their homes week after week, not going anywhere or seeing the family for months, but yet it's all our fault, deluded.

I've railed against the "going for a walk" thing from the start. Borders have been wide open since day one but driving to Mumbles for a stroll is forbidden. Pointless authoritarian crap from a Welsh Government as out of its depth as Ronnie Corbett in a diving pool.

Pain or damage don't end the world. Or despair, or f*cking beatings. The world ends when you're dead. Until then, you got more punishment in store. Stand it like a man... and give some back.

I have to say mate, not many are accepting restrictions now, too busy looking round for excuses not to conform and 1600 more registered dead today. I don't see any restrictions really, ok bars closed ( good) and shopping slightly. But for me that saves the coppers a lot of grief on a Saturday night. We have hardly any restrictions compared to Italy and Spain. That's why people are dying.

We are meant to be in a lockdown but there was more traffic on the roads today than this time last year. Before covid. We wouldn't know what restrictions are, because we've hardly had any.

There have been restrictions but they were never enforced and that was the big mistake. If we had made t clear from the beginning that breakingbthe rules will be punished maybe people would have behaved more and we wouldn't be where we are now, maybe?

Now they have started enforcing rules and people are whinging about it. Our politicians have royally screwed it up be they Westmisnter or Senedd, they are all to blame.

Drakeford even said he wouldn't make a new law because people would just break it....punish them then don't just give up!

Bojo didn't stop international travel and opened back up far too quickly. There are many more things I could bring up.

Both have blood on their hands.

Just my opinion, but WTF do I know anyway?

It's fair to say pubs closing aren't really affecting many really apart from those who see them as a essential part of everyday life. For many they are not.

Plenty of women will be feeling the benefit of not having a partner in the pub-betting shop circle then to smash her in the mouth.

Policing is utterly different now of a weekend with major cities not having assaults, sexual assaults, theft, vehicle crime as a result of them closing too.

It's about the best feature of lockdown

Drakeford did not try to handle Brexit in the middle of a global pandemic did he ?

He did not fail to control our borders.
He did not fail with Track and Trace.
He did not bung his mates for this and that.
He did not lose the north of Ireland.
He does not tell lies.
He did not promote the idiotic ‘Eat out to help out’ scheme.
He did not recommend Trump for a Peace prize.

Johnson has ignored the science and tried to bullshite a pandemic.

Drakeford cares, he has been slaughtered for some decisions, only for Johnson to follow about 2 weeks later.

The vaccines started slower than elsewhere but are now flying out.

Drakeford has done Johnson bigly.

To put it into numbers, if England had done as badly as Wales they'd have another 19,500 deaths and another 1,218,000 cases, approximately.

Well if the mandate had come from central government in London to close down the UK borders, in January/February last year we wouldn't be in this situation. It's as simple as that. They've all fcuked up. And now we are paying the price.

They have but they ALL have. When covid first caused issues Labours first thought was to gain political points.

Johnson,at Christmas, foolishly relented failing to how the guts to do an unpopular thing, which would be to "cancel" Chrimbo-all his opponents would have crucified him .

We have few if any politicians of integrity

The 1918 flu took about 18 months before the epidemic started to ease, similar with 1957 flu.

Looks like we are at least 12 months in in Europe.

Science and technology have moved on since those times, we have a much greater understanding of how viruses work and mutate these days, so hopefully we'll see a vast improvement in the next month or so.

Mind you, that's just my opinion, so don't make any plans.

I was struck by what Chris Whitty said in March, science will made a huge difference, but science takes time.

Vaccine works and keeps working, then great, things will improve every day, what worries me more than most at the moment is if a new strain somehow impacts the vaccine and it no longer works as it should then we will well and truly have problems, i just gone though 17 days with Covid and only now am improving, it has been an eyeopener no way do i want to go through that again and i am a very fit healthy and exercise loving person but was still knocked for six by this poxy virus.
