| Best place to visit for a City break in the UK ? on 21:04 - Mar 11 by pencoedjack | Stayed in Belfast twice, both times when Wales were playing in Dublin. Cracking weekends 👠Glasgow on trips to watch Rangers .... not as impressive as Edinburgh |

Legoland is a good place for children to visit. Splott, Bute, Tiger Bay or good for loose women

Used to visit every week. Never seen so many destitute people in my life. Not a bad night out though! Oh and Cambridge is very nice. Visited many times in my youth. [Post edited 12 Mar 2021 16:45]

There's nothing much to see though. Certainly not a weekend filler. It's more of a day trip. Personally I prefer places with a much deeper history or much more to see. York/Jorvik fits the bill.

There are things to do in Cardiff certainly. The St Fagans museum for one. Principality stadium another. National museum another. Cardiff Bay. Penarth marina. Wouldnt be my choice but good shopping and nightlife. Give me Bath or Worcester.

Yeah and both beaches are disgusting You wouldn't want a beach in Cardiff anyway, it's on an estuary. The nicest beaches are further down by Barafundle and Tenby. Rhossili, Ogmore and Southerdown are ok though.

OK.? OK! This is where I defend my home city area. Gower is still superb and Swansea Bay still looks impressive . Ive swum in it anyway. Cardiff city is more impressive than Swansea but its environs far more dark, depressing, and more d1ckheads per sq ft.

They are both ugly cities, not much character in either.Cardiff has more and better shopping and has had more investment, but hopefully that will change

last toyme I was in cardiff I was making my way back to my niece's flat at that time in Riverside. It was the Barnsley play off game. The pubs were emptying out literally looking for Jacks to bait and batter. They found one poor bugger who was getting a kicking and so me and my companion waded in when Plod come around. Because I had been seen smashing this fella's nose I had some explaining to do and was told by cardiff plod in carrier to fark off quick. We did. They don't like us. And we want independence?

If you think Barry is wonderful you obviously dont know it. My sister lived there for years. Swansea is far nicer. Swansea Beach isnt one of the best around here though.
