| The Chris Wilder "sacking" on 15:27 - Mar 25 with 1463 views | ReslovenSwan1 | It would be interesting to get the full facts on this. Presumbaly by being sacked he would be getting his ful outstanding contract paid up but would not be able to work anywayy else for a year or two. The £4m severance offer sounds like outright greed when presented this way but may for example represent a "separation by mutual consent agreement" which allows him to work elsewhere presumably and may represent a significant reduction on his full entitlement. There seemes to be no element of 'bluff' here at all. [Post edited 25 Mar 2021 16:22]

Paul Tisdale with Graeme Jones as Number 2 would be a full blown 'Jenkinista' appointment. Personally I I was Jason I would give HJs firm the consultancy job of providing the new top man.

No, not a bluff. He was being a chancer. He wanted to leave with a big pay off AND be able to take a job elsewhere. Still, I suppose his remaining contract provided a nice pay day and unless it states in his T&C's that he can't take a job yet, he will pop up somewhere else soon enough, assuming he wants to take another job.

Would anyone take him instead of Cooper 2 promotions for Sheff Utd. Put me down as a yes.

He seems to like Swansea methods. Swansea always beat him and he signed McBurney and Brewster for big money.

From what has been said today by the sheik who owns Sheffield Utd I doubt he will walk in to that many jobs, definitely dislike him and the way he puts himself over.

Why wasn't the sheik more careful with his money then? He could have said no, too expensive, look somewhere else AND told him not to speak publicly about players. You could read that as the sheik divesting himself of any blame. I'm sure some on here pointed out Brewster wouldn't fit up there and many also bemoaned the fact that they bought him and hardly ever used him. Man City did the same with Bony, bought a player who didn't fit. Maybe owners need to be more careful.

Another manager looking at the swansea way of doing things and thinking he can reproduce it by buying players.

It only works though if you do it all. You can't just buy up Swansea players or targets if the team doesn't play the right way. Putting Brewster up front for the blades, well you might just as well get Frankel, Secretariat or Red Rum and make them pull coal wagons or drays (I know they're outdated notions but just to mke the point) it just doesn't make sense.

Its remarkable to number of posters accepting wat this particular owner is saying without scepticism. Its only one side of the story. Monk had the same treatment at Birmingham.

I personally accept it as I’m pretty certain Wilder won’t be responding in any way to say it’s untrue. He may disagree with the way it’s being put over, but he had his chance and his attitude is horrendous, wouldn’t want him anywhere near Swansea.

Horrendous attitude? He's been with them 5 years and done ok, mostly. If he's that bad why aren't players moaning? Or are they and I hadn't noticed? Not sure I'd want him here anyway and, I don't think he'd come. I reckon he needs a cheque book guarantee that our owners wouldn't give him.

I think in general, away from his achievements he comes across as a bit of a clown. In interviews I meant. Just my opinion.

Ah, OK. Truth is I don't often watch the interviews with managers. I have trouble watching anything football that isn't the Swans. It's why I rarely watch internationals, I managed about 15 mins of the Belgium game. Euro 2016 was the most international football I've ever watched, and I went to Moscow for the P/O game. Even the highlights programmes, I record them and FF through the talking and adverts.

I always say the same when people want a successful manager sacked. Nobody ever tends to have any names they would prefer that are realistic or have a better track record. Which then becomes just a moan as opposed to an actual suggestion. I dread to think who we would have had in through the doors player wise had we gone with someone else. Over the last 2 years we have spent £1.9m in total for perm transfer fees while shipping out our whole team essentially. Ayew, Naughton, Grimes and Roberts the only real survivors. I still think it’s incredible we find ourselves where we do. If anyone has any names with a better track record than Cooper in both results and transfers that we would have a good chance of getting - I’d happily listen.
