We are living in surreal times for sure. We are kidding ourselves that media pressure and public demonstrations and Sky platitudes are going to change any mindset a regard race. Everyone is prejudiced against something or someone .It is all about how people do not allow this bias to affect others. Racism is not about getting races to love each other but to tolerate each other .No need for respect either as that would be disingenuous. You cannot force anyone to respect anyone. It's like getting a life long police hater ,like we see on here,to love ,like or respect the Police or an inner city black youth. It aint gonna happen and the sooner we realise this the better. Most on here will live in a 99% white area and have no idea whatsoever as to what multi ethnic neighbourhoods are like. Or neighbourhoods where the population is 1% white . This is fact . We all need to look in the mirror when we post cos the man in the glass will know the truth even if you do not.

He d be walking out to burning hell. His life is over . Biden 's comments cannot be ignored . Judge under massive pressure as we jurors. Chauvin was never ever going to have a "fair" trial. Fair trials are those where people want the verdict that suit their narrative.

Something we can agree on. I do remember a white fella dying as a result of a similar situation involving a knee and a neck. No such outcry with that one and most definitely cities didn't burn.

Oh no he won't. They won't want to add any more fuel to the fire. If he walks there'll be riots and more deaths across the USA. This is just as much about politics as justice. Kammala Harris won't want him freed and Biden has already judged.

I don't really care where a story comes from as long as it is verfiably true. If this witness is honestly saying this then it's appalling. I think Chauvin is guilty but all the same, he deserved a fair trial.

It's because she was claiming there was intimidation to force a guilty verdict. I don't think they needed to bother (if true of course) because that video of him was pretty damning.

But there is simply no mileage of whites getting killed by blacks, even servicemen in London. If white police are killed here, they are soon forgotten. Anywau, they probably deserved it for harrassing people.Innit No politician is ever going to get any gravitas over white British police taking the crap they get from black youths in inner cities fully protected by many labour politicians and ignored by Tories as they are too cowardly to lose face. Not long ago,our much loved travellers killed a serving police officer and smirked all the way through Court. They'll be heroes inside now.

| Derek Chauvin on 01:20 - Apr 24 with 1103 views | Dr_Parnassus | I have no issue with the guilty verdict, although haven’t looked into how it is to be served. (It should be served concurrently otherwise it seems a bit wrong). Prior to the trial I said he should go down for about 15 years. Negligent, cold, dangerous action without care for human life. But clearly didn’t intend to kill him, it’s a hold taught to police and done hundreds of times before. It’s something I blame the police service for not banning sooner due to its poor record. But there was clearly something within his psyche not wanting to cede power to the crowd telling him to get off him. That’s where he becomes liable. I think you tend to serve 2/3rds of your sentence with the rest on parole in that state, or something to that effect. So all in all, it will be about right assuming the above happens. What I don’t like however is the fact that other officers walk free just because their victim is white, and the fact the public completely ignore it. If they pretend it doesn’t happen to anyone else they can then promote their bizarre “racism is everywhere” agenda and put the victims on a pedestal. Floyd was a victim here, make no mistake, never deserved that for this crime. But he was a vile man, pushing a gun into a pregnant woman’s belly while his mates ransack her house for what little possessions she has. The way he has been held up by society is also pretty sickening. He was no upstanding member of the community and had terrorised his community for much of his adult life (in between prison stints). When everyone was buzzing around shouting racism from the rooftops the day it happened, as sickening as the video was to watch, I couldn’t help but think where this racism narrative was coming from. It was like everyone had already decided it was, including politicians. I assumed I had missed a vital piece of the story... but no. I couldn’t find a single thing that points to anything racist, and still haven’t been able to. That’s the wider danger in all of this. | |

He who controls the mob....absolutely. When the mob includes the President and vice prwsident of the US of A then it's even more absolute. The Democrats made a lot of mileage out of stirring up the black community, they're not going to throw that support away now. Dr P, I almost entirely agree with you. Chauvin couldn't get a fair trial, he was always going to be found guilty. The only thing I disagree about is anyone serving sentences concurrently. Why find someone guilty of something and give them "concurrent" sentences, it makes no sense. If you get 5 years for 5 different crimes that's 15 years, you can't serve 15 years in 5 years so you are not punsihed for the other 4 crimes.

Because it is essentially the same crime. I don't agree you should serve 3 separate murder charges unless you kill 3 people. Having the same incident charged several times, but in slightly different ways can never be good thing, its open to corruption.

I don't understand how he can be guilty of murder AND manslaughter, that is a puzzle, and calling it unintentional murder, to me, means manslaughter. I guess that's the American system but it sems odd to me too.

Bullshit, I watched the trial.Don't need to read lies in the left wing media ta. His girlfriend admitted that he had taken an overdose, inadvertently, recently also. His dealer refused to give evidence for fear of incriminating himself George Floyd and George Floyd's dealer are the people responsible for George Floyd dying. The video evidence showed that the Police were concerned that he had taken too many drugs, they asked him why he was foaming at the mouth. The video evidence showed that Floyd crammed what was left of his drugs in his mouth as the police approached the car. The video evidence proved that the police gave Floyd time and many opportunities to get in the back of the car. The video evidence proved that it was Floyd who asked to be taken to the floor. The video evidence proved that Chauvin had his knee on Floyd's shoulder blade, not his neck (as he was trained to do for Floyd's safety as well as the public - people high on drugs sometimes run off into traffic). The medical evidence proved there was no bruising on Floyd's neck, either externally or internally. When the prosecutions medical expert was questioned she admitted that if Floyd had died at home she would have concluded that Floyd OD'd....the average person who OD's on Fentanyl has 3.2mg in their system, Floyd had 11.2mg. I saw a video of somebody allowing 2 grown men to put him in the same position that Floyd was in for the same amount of time. He stated that he was in some pain and discomfort, he had marks on his face from where his face hit the concrete etc. ...you know what, no further medical attention was needed though. I'd love to see somebody like you take 11.2mg of Fentanyl to prove the contrary.

It's been clearly stated that Fentanyl didn't kill him, but a lack of oxygen did.He was dead after about 6 mins, but that thug kept his full body weight on his neck for another few minutes. That's intent to me
