...another victim of 'racism'.

What do you think should happen to the Police Officer?

We should ask lisa maybe ,as she is expert on this kind of morality issue

Maybe the officer should have spoken to her nicely and offered her a cup of coffee and maybe pray together.

Better the police officer be killed really, that upset the black activist brothers and sisters, who are watching every move police make through racist eyes.

I watched the video a few days ago when it was released.

When the officer arrives you see Ma'Khia's father quite literally "curb stomping" a young child. Then he sees Ma'Khia lunge at one lady with a large knife, only for the lady to escape. Ma'Khia then lunges at a second person with the knife and that is when the officer shoots at her until she is no longer trying to murder people.

Hopefully the officer is rewarded for saving lives.

So we're supposed to be outraged by George Floyd/Derek Chauvin but ignore this incident is it.

Living rent free in your head.

In this case the young woman was quite clearly out of control and a danger to others. I’m not sure whether the police officer could have stopped her in another way. Taser or shooting to disable rather than kill. Presumably the investigation will look at that. Which is the way it should work.

Thankfully she didn’t have a gun that she’d used to kill several people otherwise they’d have taken her for a Burger King rather than kill her.

I saw the story but don't have all the evidence. I hope the officer is treated fairly and the evidence is respected. If he's guilty of a crime , punished but, if the shooting was justified I hope he's not "witch hunted" out of his job.

Racists need to try and understand something, the bigotry is tearing the world apart, it's bad for all of us, regardless of colour.

Just my opinion, but WTF do I know anyway?

Like how the video of George Floyd being murdered provided clear evidence as to Chauvin's guilt, the video from the officer's body camera and a neighbour's security camera showed that the police officer saved multiple lives when he shot Ma'Khia Bryant.

He successfully drags her off of the first person she tried to murder, however she then got up and went straight for another person and tried to murder her as well.

He is a hero.

LeBron James should be prosecuted for what he did.

These people you refer to with the guns, name one...name one and I will show you that they did not resist arrest.
The common factor in all of these 'racist' murders we are asked to be outraged by lately, is that the criminals in question resisted arrest.

It has NOTHING to do with skin colour.

I find it rather disturbing that certain people bearing a significant voice and influence to induce calm (media, politicians, celebrities etc) have instead been so irresponsible on both sides of the Atlantic. It's been going on for way too long now.

There is a febrile witch hunt and anti-police agenda going on in the U.S.A that is taking race relations back decades. It’s deliberately creating wounds as opposed to doing the complete and utter opposite!

Many have sussed out that these race baiters, race hustlers, PC-fascists, Antifa/WOKE trouble makers, agent provocateurs, witch-hunters, and confrontation-junkies would detest a kinder and gentler harmonious equal society.

It’s ironic beyond words that these people are doing their damnedest to divide society along racial lines whilst stoking up racial tension in the process. What a sick game they play hey!

Argus!

“ The rate of fatal police shootings of unarmed Black people in the US is more than 3 times as high as it is among White people, finds research published online in the Journal of Epidemiology & Community Health.”

As I said, in this case, the young woman was clearly out of control and presumably it will be considered whether the police officer could have stopped her in any other way.

That 13 year old boy was shooting a gun indiscriminately at passing cars, and then ran away from the police when they tried to arrest him before he was shot as he turned to face the police officer chasing him whilst holding the same gun he used to shoot at passing cars.

What would you do if you knew the person you were chasing down a dark alley was shooting at people minutes earlier, was in possession of a gun and suddenly turned around without notice to face you? If he hadn't of resisted arrest and ran away, he would be alive. Police officers get shot in that scenario daily in the USA. You're quite literally asking the officer to gamble that the person he's chasing isn't going to shoot him as he turns around. Would you put that level of trust in a person who was quite literally shooting at multiple people minutes earlier and proudly gave himself the nickname "Lil Homicide" when he joined the local gang?

Here's the full 11 minute bodycam footage. A screen shot does not provide enough context of the situation.

The officer is quite clearly distraught in the immediate aftermath. Let's hope he receives all the help he needs and Adam's mother is prosecuted for her neglect.

it is only "3 times as high" if you take the population as the denominator.
When you deal with facts and break it down, the amount of black people shot by police officers in the US is entirely consistent with the amount of violent crime being committed by the black population relative to the white population and entirely consistent with the incidences of resisting arrest.

If you commit violent crime and resist arrest you risk being shot by the arresting officer, regardless of your skin colour.

Try your description again. The kid was clearly not armed and surrendering. Assuming he's guilty as charged he deserved arresting but police should not be shooting unarmed, surrendering criminals.

You know, even during wartime it's a crime to shoot the enemy if they are unarmed and surrendering.

I've seen a different video to you then.

How do you think you'd cope chasing somebody, armed, who has just been shooting indiscriminately into traffic and then suddenly turns around to face you?

Genuine question.

Thank you for confirming what I said. Your video shows a screenshot, snapshot or whatever the appropriate word is. That doesn't provide the full context of the situation. That is quite literally less than 1 second of the 11 minute full video. In the rest of the video you can see Adam shooting at cars and the full police chase where he quite clearly has a gun in his hand as he's running away from the police officer.

Again, what would you do if you were chasing a person in a dark alley who you know was shooting at strangers minutes earlier, who you could see had a gun and then suddenly he turns around without warning? Your silly screencaps do not provide the context of the situation. It's not the officer's job to gamble and hope the person doesn't shoot him.

Had he dropped the gun in a place the officer could have seen it, he'd be alive. Had he not run away in the first place, he'd be alive. This is not the police officer's fault. There are plenty of examples on that channel where the police officer is at fault. This isn't one.

It obviously depends, if I was an armed police officer who has all the training it'd be different to if I was just a civvy chasing him.

How can you have seen a different video, I just posted the video from the officers personal camera.

What other video is there?

PS, I could make any claim about how I'd react and how could you prove otherwise? If I told you I was knackered, waiting for an operation and need a walking stick to get around but rugby tackled a scumbag fleeing 2 police officers, would you believe me?

The police department released videos from three CCTV cameras which showed the shooting, as well as the officer's body camera. You're basing your argument, quite literally, on about two tenths of a second of the entire footage available. You cannot expect the police officer to weigh up the pros and cons when he has milliseconds to react when the options are shoot or risk being killed and leaving your family and children behind.

Again, check the video I linked which is the full 11 minutes released by the The Civilian Office of Police Accountability.

It's not racism. But.

I'd be far more concerned about the number of people who get shot dead or killed in the USA by police full stop. The officer involved here was barely out of probation but is walking around with a gun he can fire at will.

We've had the George Floyd murder, Brianna Taylor, the "I thought it was my taser" incident and now this.

All the while a live shot has never been discharged in anger by South Wales Police. I know which police force I'd rather be protected by.
