The best Twitter football financial expert gives his analysis on our last financial performance figures. For some reason there's no mention of the tens of millions taken out out of the club by the owners. Can't imagine why.

Pain or damage don't end the world. Or despair, or f*cking beatings. The world ends when you're dead. Until then, you got more punishment in store. Stand it like a man... and give some back.

No ones disputing what the hierarchy is. But it helps performance and morale if things go up&down that hierarchy. There's no narrative, just a discussion and interpretation of the facts of this event which are undeniably poor.

Maybe like asking Cooper's thoughts on the situation. Maybe just explain why he was making this decision. Maybe discuss what happens next.

Come on, i know you'll back anyone remotely associated to the Americans to the hilt but Winter was obviously wrong on this. It was a poor way to act, not neccessarily the sale which was questionable, but how it was done.

The same line you take with the sale of the club to the US people.

"It was a poor way to act, not neccessarily the sale which was questionable, but how it was done."

Perhaps it is you and the fans that are in the wrong. Things have to be moved on and if some people are unhappy that is the way it has to be. Its a cut throat business. Even today fans say the result is a win but we did not like the way we got the win".

And what's wrong with treating people respect and some manners? Especially ones you work with or have worked with for some time?

I know you and Risca are now embroiled in purely saying the opposite viewpoint of mine now, but you need to pull back, take a breath and realise what you are actually arguing with me over now-

Literally all I'm saying is that the sale of Peterson could have been handled better.

Unbelievable you'd go to such lengths to dispute that.

Embroiled in purely saying opposite to you? Righteyo.

Peterson had to go, Cooper had no interest in playing him, we managed to make our money back in a season finances will be crippled by Covid.

I would argue you need to sit back and realise what you're saying, you seem to have a major dislike of the owners and that's fair enough, your entitled to your opinion, but the Peterson sale is a ridiculous stick to beat them with.

I don't think ever questioned why Peterson would want to stay. But when you have a contract, you can't just walk out when you feel like it.

Read up there's plenty of ways this could have been done differently rather than a pathetic text message. Better communication isn't difficult. The sale itself wasn't ideal either but i have a degree of understanding for it.

Its laughable that a manager doesn't want to lose any squad members before a busy period!? You need to get a grip on this Cooper vendetta. Criticising him for wanting players in his squad now. Like any other manager ever. It's bizarre.

Apart from the ones he was given in Jan, apart from the striker he tracked all summer, got him but still states we haven't had a centre forward all season. He had no intention of using his squad during the busy period, Ayew even said himself the players were nackered, his reply "get on with it".

Why are you ignoring what I've written?

Read back again.

For a start no i don't hate our owners. I've stated several times that i think they're doing a decent job, but i am still weary of them&always will be, like any sensible fan should be.

And secondly, i haven't stated anywhere that i think they're in anyway responsible for this. I have clearly stated its Winter in the wrong on this.

Amazing anyone would bother to disagree with that. But you're on one it seems and its default for you now judging by you bringing up other things totally unrelated to this.

Declan John has been the same at every club he's been at, including under our previous manager who was the one who signed him them shunned him.

No comment on Potter though for the sake of balance?

So the apparrent "togtherness" and much talked about unity in the squad is all amyth then?
The scenes of touchline group hugs, Ayew racing to Cooper...none of this fits another swipe at Cooper...
As has been said Declan has already "been around" and not settled at a club.....Potter brought him here and also dropped him..
Guess what sometimes this happens t o players when they are not in the frame. I remember Chris Marustik telling me that he always knew when he was going to be involved in an up coming game as Tosh would talk to him.....otherwise there was little interaction..it was saved for the match day 12...those on the finges were not shinned but dealt with by the assistants....only when they were featuring in the matchday squad did the big man interact much.
Players like Arriola and John need to grow a pair recognise that they too are part of the equation..as has been said its not like John has been a roaring success at his previous clubs.

BBut hey ho more to bash Cooper with and journos love things like this especially as most read the forums and this becomes click bait

SOmetimes we should all take a step back and look at the overall picture...as I said if Coopers man management is that poor how come there is such a squad affinity etc?
JOhn didnt want to go training as he was training with the "stiffs" to use old parlance...his nose was out of joint..it happens..

What I find so amusing is that a thread which was about how the club despite the problems caused by the pandemic did well finanacially despite a massive drop in income has been used once again to Cooper bash and using some really weak arguements along the way.

Look I know I have supported Cooper...been accused of fawning over him....I dont fawn what I do is look at things rationally and with perspective. For me there things he could do better and I also think he needs to shake things up....for example our kick offs are always the same...but thats just one thing..but overall yet again he has us in the play offs....we are not fighting against relegation and as this thread started things are looking not too bad off the pitch too.

How many of us feared of a fall through the leagues and financial catasrophe following our releagtion form the PL...Here we are 3 seasons after being relegated in the mix for promotion for the second season..and things not in the financial ststae of the club...yet all some folks want to do is continue to bash the manager

What financial state? As the accounts show this club has been run very well since relegation. One of the reasons I have no time for Cooper continually digging out the board at every opportunity.

Nice deliberate diversion by being obtuse.

Potter was the one who signed John then basically didn't play him (which is a pattern for John at all his clubs), yet tellingly, no criticism for Potter regarding this from you.

You've lost all your objectivity in this crusade to discredit Cooper at every turn. You must be praying we don't get promoted.

typing error by me....I meant to say things not too bad in the financial state of the club.

And how do you say Cooper digs at the board at every opportunity?

Maybe he has done since the American players were brought over as I have said I suspect Our owners have targeted Cooper with getting us promoted before the parachute payments dry up....he has given it a fair shot...and maybe felt that the readiness and level of those two were not sufficient to help...and the funds could have been used elsewhere.

But again the thread is being derailed .....to Cooper bash

the same Potter who persuaded us to part with £2M for a 19 year old then played him for a total of 17 times starting just 4 games?

ANd people dare to come on here and spout about Whittaker being expensive ( £750K) and not being played

Potter failed to get us to the play offs and he had vitrtually the same defence/midfield but with the "bonus" of Celina,Dan James and Macburnie. YEs for whatever reason Cooper couldnt get a tune from Celina but this so called "crap" manager has twice got us to theplayoffs. If we spend enough time we can find fault with all our managers...Cooper seems to be getting hit from all angles whilst "similar" cases of "mismanagment" by his predecssors is swept under the carpet?

This is absolutely true. I would not trust John’s criticism any more than, say, Ayew’s praise.

Anyway, there’s no point in arguing. We have what we have and now we are all united until we lose, which we all hope is next season. As to the finances, post COVID is the test, but I can’t believe they’d have gone for £99 season tickets without being confident. Again let’s hope we have a £100 million plus windfall to remove any doubt.

Potter didn’t play him as he didn’t think he was good enough, but as far as I’m aware Declan John has never come out and made clear he thinks Potter is a tw*t. Managing isn’t only about the starting XI but you are completely oblivious to that which is to be expected.

I must be praying we don’t get promoted there it is.

Your first paragraph, completely fair comment. Poor signing which didn’t work out.

Your third paragraph though, Grimes, James, McBurnie, Rodon all players which through the help of our brilliant academy brought into the first team by Potter. I would imagine all four would have nothing but great things to say regarding Potter.

As the saying goes though, proof will be in pudding, let’s see if premier league chairman come chasing Cooper. I don’t think so personally as these guys will more than likely look at more than results and see bigger picture. But we’ll see.

again your lack of objectivity driven by your dislike of Cooper has twisted the article to a stick to question his mam managenent ability. John just discusses how he didnt want to go in to training... feels he could have offered something...dont see him implying or stating Cooper is a tw@t .Guess what had Potter been here i am sure a similar article would have appeared ...player at end of contract, out of managers plan..I keep repeating...John's ego dented training with under 23s doubt he was in much contact with Cooper...
