They know it's not lawful so it's hard to see this one coming to fruition. I'm sure there are plenty on here who are all for it no matter what how dangerous a path it takes us, just to get one over the vaccine hesitant, anti vax etc Thoughts

We sit back comfortable in our own little world. Everyone has the right to a life without it being ended by somebody feeling their freedom is affected. People refusing vaxes will put alcohol, dope ,tobacco, and an excess of sugar and fat into their bodies without a second thought |

Government would have to legislate, there’s personal choice and a Human Rights issues and the care industry is by enlarge lowly paid and has previously struggled for staff with an emphasis on migrant workers from the EU. The way to do it is to incentivise the staff, give them a decent pay rise to get vaccinated, those who get the jab get the cash and those who don’t get the jab get no extra cash.

Never did I think I'd see the day where parts of society has become so abhorrent towards people that have exercised their right to say yes or in this case no. Can you imagine you'd been in a coma or hidden away on a deserted foreign island for 2 years. You'd think you'd just woken up in a field in Brecon in the middle of mushroom season. |
People have forgotten the basic principles of a free society. I can't understand those who say you should be denied access to the NHS if you have not had a vaccine. What about smokers, excessive drinkers, substance abusers and those who eat too much. At much age normal chance of dying in 12 months is 1 in 100, my chance of dying from Covid is 1 in 7000. The issue here is NHS capacity. The issue with NHS capacity is avoidable metabolic disease ( 50 percent of demand) ; smokers, excessive drinkers and those who fail to exercise or eat the right things. If there was a vaccine that would stop smokers from smoking, it would be fantastic. If smokers decided not to take the vaccine then there'd be an argument for denying treatment. (Also see for over earting and drinking). To take the smoking analogy further, if you're a smoker you can't light up next to me in a pub. If we're outside I can move away - socially distancing if you like, both for my health reasons while you do whatever you like to yourself. In somewhere like a football stadium (or in this OP, a care home), I have my choice taken away from me. Hardly seems fair does it?

People who have put their loved ones into the care of others (often at huge financial expense) should expect them to be safe. Whereas I can see difficulties with existing staff I can see no difficulty with new staff ... No jab - no new job ... Exactly, they keep saying you need get your vaccinations to be protected but your not protected if you've had them and live in old people's home or care home...no..it don't make sense to me...what they got to worry about if they've had their two vaccinations because they keep ramming it down our throats we need them to be safe,so if they've had them asphalt difference files it make if the care workers not had them

The vaccines significantly reduces the chance of you getting infected with covid and passing it on. No vaccine ever is 100% effective, so some vaccinated people will still get covid. Older people don't tend to have as robust immune system as younger people, so it is more likely that they may not have as much protection from the vaccine as younger people. If their carers are vaccinated it is less likely that they will be exposed to covid so the effectiveness of the vaccine is less likely to be tested. The vaccine will probably work to some degree, but may not. So why take a chance? Vaccinate carers and staff and it gives the residents an extra level of protection.

Funny how you don't hear the death rates anymore only people who have been infected rates, hardly anyone dying from it,how come Hungary played a full house the other night no social distancing and away fans no masks, you being brain washed with all this,it's been around 18 months and I've only known a handful people who had it and said they've had worse hangovers, and someone I knew had it but didn't even know until needed test to have operation and he was positive,it's over hyped for some reason we don't know

I can’t comment on Hungary but your evidence of ‘knowing some people’ is anecdotal. The stats are there in the excess deaths caused by COVID. The died of/with COVID to some degree isn’t the point; excess deaths are caused by COVID. If not Covid, then what?

A lot less people are dying thanks to the vaccine. I know loads of people who have had it now, I'd say over 100. I know one who died whilst on kidney dialysis, they were very ill anyway but would have lived a good life for many years. I know another ultra fit lad who very nearly ended up on a ventilator and was off work for ages. I know others who've barely been ill at all. There's nothing to be brainwashed about and it's not over hyped. It's every bit as bad as is being reported.

Hungary have the worst death rate per 100,000 of the population in Europe, they are followed by the Czech Republic. No Ida what’s gone on out there, but their PM is seen as a bit of a maverick.
| Mandatory Vaccinations for care workers on 00:08 - Jun 18 with 571 views | Jack123 | Strange though the way it's all gone, and we have got to this point. Like was on the news earlier, over 18's to be invited for jab next. Something was puzzling me earlier regarding the vax makes the virus less transmissible, so I did a bit of googling for January 2021, I didn't spend ages on it, but I could not find any references to lessens the transmissibility, just makes symptoms less severe in the elderly and vulnerable, and the vaccine program would stop at over 50's. How did we reach a point where from what I can see, it's going to be vaccinate the 6 month plus? It doesn't make sense, it's like one big contradiction, It doesn't feel like a pandemic to me, just graphs and stuff on tv saying look how bad this is, I must be fortunate, but I know many people I have asked, experienced the same thing., just a pandemic brought to you by graphs and the msm scaremongering. | |

Having the vaccine itself does not make the virus in itself less transmissible. Just if you have the vaccine you are less likely, by 90%, to catch it. If you can't catch it you can't transmit it.

Which goes back to my point if the old feckers have had it,as you said you can't catch it so what's the problem...major contradiction for nothing more than a bad flu which also kills thousands but never been an outcry for vaccinations for that..over the top and something not right with all this

I think it does make the virus less transmissible as it can't replicate in your body. Not sure on that though.

There are plenty of references showing it reduces transmission. They've been linked in this thread. What exactly do you think doesn't make sense and is a contradiction?
| Mandatory Vaccinations for care workers on 10:22 - Jun 18 with 495 views | Dr_Winston | People who work on building sites need a CSCS card. People who work in Security need an SIA card. People who work with the elderly need to be vaccinated against diseases that potentially kill their charges. Either they do that or they find alternative employment. Quite simple really. | |
