Seem a very racist bunch and no surprise to see a No Kneeling banner at yesterday's game.
What they are though are no hypocrites as many of our lot are.

Most of the filthy ,pure racist monkey chants emanate from east Europe. We all know that so why has nothing at all been done to ostracise those who are backward.

And next up s the World Cup in Qatar. Think about that.

Why though? Genuine question.

That really doesn’t sound healthy to have such a hatred for people who have more than acceptable political views, just because you don’t agree with them.

I do find it fascinating and ironic that the group that shouts “fascists!” the loudest are also the same group that many within it proudly declare they hate anyone who has a political view that doesn’t align with their own.

Preferring capitalism to communism (a perfectly normal and demonstrably sensible view) is considered to be “on the right”. Do you hate that? And anyone that holds that view? I assume you voluntarily own a mobile phone?... brought to you by capitalism.

The mind boggles.

I totally agree with this and your previous 2 posts. I often read a lefty on here say they hate the right, how can you hate a person you never met based on how they voted? It doesn't seem reasonable or sensible to me. If anyone meets someone new, likes them but then finds out they vote a certain way then automatically hates them, it's strange!

There are some on here who have adopted an "if you're not with us you're against us" attitude, dare to criticise the left and you are obviously a Tory fanboy. Very strange. There is middle ground, some of us do occupy it, some of us (and I'll include myself in this) have beliefs from both left and right.

Just my opinion, but WTF do I know anyway?

Lots of people think they are in the middle but they are out on the right and they don't know it, they think Blair and Starmer are on the left and therefore they are to the right ofnBlair and Starmer, they don't realise that doesn't put them in the centre that puts them out on the right.
Lots of Plaid and SNP could be described as being in the centre, Lots of Labour and Libs could be described as being on the right with the Conservatives out on the right.
Bercow the old speaker of the House was seen as well out on the right in his younger days but has apparently joined Labour, that tells you something, Westminster Labour has not suddenly become a Socialist party again.

Bercow is just desperate to get in the Lords, emails leaked today show him asking Corbyn for a peerage and even writing his own recommendation.

I despise what they stand for and promote. I have seen this country go downhill since the neo lib policies of Thatcher and it's continued ever since. Right wing policies lead to racism, xenophobia and divisions of social stratification. The gap between rich and poor has never been greater than what it is today, it was at it's narrowest in 78.

Obviously there are degrees of extremism, but so is my dislike in degrees too. It's how i feel and I always will.

What do you believe I stand for then, out of interest?

Because, these days looking at the political spectrum I probably would now have to describe myself as on the right. So what policies do you think I support that leads to racism or xenophobia then?

I am one of the most accepting and open minded humans you could ever wish to meet, so it is interesting you say my beliefs support such things.

It's laughable that anyone thinks Starmer and Blair are anything but centrist. Very European politicians where the differences are smaller and consensus government is more prevalent. Merkel is to the right in Germany, yet would get called a lefty by many here. And people suggest Biden is bringing socialism to the US.

The Conservatives have drifted to a very right-wing position, aided by opportunists like Johnson. Much like Trump, they are not inherently that right-wing, but use those of the right to feather the nest of their unbridled ambition.

Morning Paul.
That comment of Ange is interesting.

I think it sums up that the main left and right parties in Germany are both centrist-social democrats if you want, with very little between them. Same with the Dutch and Scandanavians. All capitalist societies but without the extreme 'I'm alright Jack" of the UK and US. More equitable but where hard work is rewarded. No one needs billions.

Im with you there Bruv.
As you know ,our son lived for some years in The Hague and our first grandchild born there.
The system is far better over there, people are less class conscious and their royal family is modern.Willhelm Alexander has a family home that we cycled past-just out on the road to Scheveningen- He attended a Vets Day and shared a beer with the Vets in full view of all. His missus was seen leaving the palace one morning to go shopping. She bluddy nodded at us.

Netherlands is very higher taxed but it works. Same in Norden.

We are still obsessed with class, envy and historic hate. We need to rewind and start again

It's a pity we don't have a full on Nordic economic model here in the UK, it's why some in the Celtic countries think England is a lost cause (that is not meant to wind anybody up, but the way we are means continual right wing policies from Westminster, if Scotland or Wales breakaway from England then perhaps they can peruse a Nordic type model).

The problem is that British people do not like paying high tax rates. When labour shoved them up ,the rich simply farked off leaving it all behind so they paid nothing into the country at all.

If we taxed beer to the extent that it would cost £10 per pint, there would be outrage. We dont like 5p n a pint. Imagine a bottle of blended whisky £60 and a cheap bottle of wine £25 in a shop. This is Nordic reality .I like it myself

England is the problem as they have a different outlook to the Celtic countries, they tend to look after number #1 and vote for what is best for themselves as individuals rather than what is best for society.

My hotel in Copenhagen had free wine and beer 5-7pm in the bar. Was full of people having a glass or two and chatting happily. No knocking it back, no getting tanked up. Civilised

You are the one saying Hungarians have a racist trait not me, I'm saying the English have a tendency to vote Conservative as has been witnessed by election after election and the Conservatives stand for right wing ideals like championing the individual as opposed to society as a whole, the only way the likes of Scotland and Wales can get away from this is by breaking away politically from England as the English are not about change their spots anytime soon.

But that’s what we discussed initially, those incorrect sweeping statements.

The general characteristics of those on the right is nothing to do with racism and xenophobia, you are again talking about extremists. The political right is largely economical not racial.

The right is usually the side that values discussion and fact, the left usually values feelings and ideas. That’s the fundamental difference.

Of course they are generalisations, but as I stated, Right wingers tend to racism and xenophobia to various degrees. This is just how it is.

I wouldn't say the left doesn't value discussion, the Labour party is far more democratic and diverse than the Conservatives, and also the trade union movement is extremely democratic.

The left does value ideas, i will agree, but it's also more progressive , whereas the right wing conservatives and Neo libs prefer to maintain a strong establishment and to maintain the balance of power in the hands of a few affluent and influential groups and individuals. The clue is in the word Conservative.Of course we aren't talking about extreme right or extreme left.

But that isn’t how it is.

Again it’s like saying Muslims lean towards bombings and terrorism, just to various degrees. It would be incredibly racist and a horrific point of view, you would of course be talking specifically about Islamic extremists. Here you are talking about right wing extremists... not normal people on the right of politics.

There is a huge gap in willingness to discuss on the left, their views are based on emotion which is why they tend to start shouting, screaming, abusing, calling names where as those on the right tend to be more measured and fact based.

It’s very hard to debate a feeling against a fact.

Typical left vs right encounter below. The man cannot debate against the mans politics because they are based on common sense, so he labels him a racist based on absolutely nothing even though he patiently explains he is not, but it is the only angle the man on the left of politics has to attack him. Once that didn’t work he resorted to screaming and throwing things.
