English FA in meltdown..... just smile 10:23 - Jul 13 with 3965 views1983

The Daily Mirror "The Ugly face of football returns" IT NEVER WENT AWAY these people are living in cuckoo land.

Booing their own players taking the knee
English fans of all colour fighting the Police all over London
English fans fighting English fans
English fans attacking Italian couples on the streets of London
Fans breaking into Wembley but at the time the FA said just a few but now it was 100's
3 missed penalties just happen to be black players getting abuse from their own fans

And that's what that game will be remembered for oh and in the middle of a global pandemic .......what a cock of a country eh?

Thank God I'm Welsh

I read a while back the main reason why the Principality stadium was never chosen as a venue even though it has excellent travel connections.

The main reason was because it was in the city centre and not dismissed for safety reasons but because they could not secure a captive audience people could just sit on the riverside, drink/picnic in the parks, eat food in restaurant's & bars or get smashed in the 100's of boozers around the city and then just walk into the stadium 10 minutes before kick off without paying a penny except for their ticket and no £7 a pint of warm p1ss in a plastic glass or £10 for a plastic burger. That's why the 6 nations is so massive in cardiff

All those back handers that the English FA made have come back and bite them on the harris.

Plenty of Swans fans around me booing our team doing the knee at Wembley. Just saying. Those English ‘fans’ disgust me, but I think we have a fair few of that ilk in both Wales and Swansea. Welsh fans fighting Welsh fans has always been a thing too.

I would, however, like to think we would have handled that occasion a lot better if it had been us there against Italy and at the milstad. I don’t think we’re likely to find out for sure anytime soon.

TBF the whole day across England was a bit out of control.
But the security in Wembley was diabolical.
When we played Brentford the stewards were on the backs of people standing. At half time and at the end of the game the concourse had local police from the Met and South Wales Heddlu including some who were fully armed. No sign of them on Sunday.

English fans reverted to type, they let themselves and their country down yet again, Welsh fans on the whole are brilliant.

Continually being banned by Planet Swans for Porthcawl and then being reinstated.

Tried keeping things sweet, they didn't want the UEFA hierarchy seeing police everywhere and especially armed police.

I went to Moscow many years back now and things between us and Cardiff were much better then. There was only 3 of us and we were careful around the Cardiff fans but we had no trouble.
I had a friend who always goes away with Wales, not seen him in several years now actually so maybe ex friend, anyway he said things were very much better and together stronger was quite apt. He said there are always a few idiots but most Cardiff fans seemed quite happy to just support Wales. He followed Wales home and away all through the 2016 Euros and went to France too.

Just my opinion, but WTF do I know anyway?

The last time Wales played at home a Swansea flag was ripped down which had a thread on here, Swansea fans escorted when they arrived in Cardiff a few years back, hassle in Ireland last time we played out there.

I guarantee if you had fans from both clubs (as is the case in most cities in England) in the same city & we lost a final after both sets of fans had been on the lash all day there would be trouble ( it was different in France)

If people reckon Swansea & Cardiff fans get on at Wales games they are deluded.

Maybe someone who went could answer this, but, when we lost in the Semi's in 2016, weren't there Swansea, Cardiff, Wrexham and Newport fans there? Was there any trouble?

You're always going to get a it of trouble when lots of young people get lashed up but I don't think it's anything like it was in the 70's and 80's.

I accept I could be wrong and I'll defer to anybody who knows better, because they were there.

Just my opinion, but WTF do I know anyway?
