If we're talking gangs ,I d say just two. It goes back to this site's genesis.Some posters are known to each other personally and obviously gossip in the flesh about other posters,making wrong assumptions in the process.
Some like a manager and defend him at all costs,which is what AC is doing. Crazy to me as Cooper killed us stone dead passion wise anyway. A gurning ugly disinterested figure in a Primark anorak who screwed up 2 promotions with good players.
Some simply see a poster and ,if they can,insult him/her and if they avoid overt "hate" speech,they get away with it,so they perpetuate old spats. It is nowhere near what it was but it still lingers.

What is it exactly, that this supposed “gang” have said about Martin then? Any examples?
Are you talking about the ones backing him to change the silly passing around the back and losing it? when under pressure.
Or the ones incorrectly saying he wasn’t adaptable and couldn’t change and that people had to just lump it?

We are independent minded posters,the type this site needs,or it would be nauseatingly cosy and bland.It need posters who swim against the tide and the tide here says support Martin no matter what;well Im not having it.
Whittaker is seen as persona non grata which is appalling. Grimes is still undropable and captain whilst Downes is head and shoulders better . Nowt wrong with asking questions and doubting Russ.If he is proven correct EVENTUALLY,then great-a win win but folk HAVE to realise Hate it is not. | |

Well me ol mucker I see it rather differently and its nowt to do with Cooper,Martin or any of our emplyees ;it is aimed personally at posters picked out and selected for abuse.This site has ameliorated it somewhat but it has not been stopped. Sadly.
Anyone ,for example who criticised Swansea/Wales,the Langauge gets pelters.Hell,we have some who see it their duty to hammer those who do such things as point out the serious socio-economic issues facing the country. BUT,nope ,it is seen as slagging off.

I am a gang of one with few silent supporters who keep the heads below the parapet.
My position is as follows.
a) I support the US owners and thank them for their recent loan.
b) I encourage them to convert the loan and dilute passive investors. (fairly)
c) I believe the SCST and the US owners have identical objectives (Making big money).
d) I encourage the SCST to come to an accommodation with other shareholders.
e) I applaud Jenkins Morgan and Dineen. Their work was exceptional.
f) Cooper did not seem to be a good team player and had to go. SCFC now has a tight team. Manager/Chairman/ Recruitment/ Owners. Cooper did a good job overall.
g) I believe Swansea are back on a upward and sustainable trajectory having a strong management team and solved the long term 'defect' of poor recruitment.
h) Huw Jenkins should have a stand named after him.
So why is there hostility to the US owners? Poor PR is one reason. I believe Swansea city fans, (being largely Anglophones) copy the logic of big 'working class' urban English team's while forgetting they are very different. Swansea city fans are OWNERS. Not like Liverpool or Arsenal at all. Gripes of Arsenal or Liverpool fans are not relevant to Swansea who have a man in the boardroom. Some fans would rather protest march than speak to their man on the board.
The man on the board needs to speak the same language as Levien, Kaplan, Silverstein the language of progress development growth and profit. (big profit). There is no need to share it with 3rd parties unless it is with some one like Ty Hafod or similar. This may reduce tax obligations.
Of course anyone who supports the current ownership will run into the south Wales prevailing political consensus which supports state ownership and decisions made by democratically elected "not for profit" committees. This is similar to the WRU which really did not work very well. Welsh rugby went into serious decline until reformed and made business friendly. |  |
