New contract keeps him with us through 2025.

Very Suprised by that but it's a good sign that the club is going in the right direction even if you see it as good news or not.

There’s very few in the championship to match him.
Decent contract too.
Nice one Tummer.

A great believer in taking anything you like to wherever you want to.

Good news I think. An underestimated player who is coveted by other clubs who see something in him that some of our supporters don’t. Good luck to the lad and enjoy your time here.

Fantastic news all round. Secures the services on one of the best at what he does in the league, one of our senior (who’s still young) and our Captain. More importantly it appreciates the value of an important asset.

Great news.
A key player for us.
Once again a statement of intent by our club.

Increase his transfer fee in January?

Poll: Should the summer transfer window close before the season starts?

I do not think Grimes would wander around Fairwood with his small child if he was not committed to the club. He could have easily waited until after January.

He tested the market in the summer and the money on offer did not blow him away. He has accepted presuably less for a more settled life as a family amn and respected Captain. The alternative was as a bench warmer in London somewhere on more money but be less contented.

I’ve never been his biggest fan but I think that’s because he’s not the player I want him to be.
