Booked to see Stewart Lee in Cardiff, February. He's had me in stitches many times recently and the best part is, I'm not quite sure why.

And I'm owed an Elvis Costello gig after it was cancelled in March 2020. Still no bloody news on it...

Saw James twice in Manchester and Leeds. Very solid live band. Mate's a massive fan and named his boy after them.

Saw him in Manchester as a three piece about 4 years ago. Did a mix of solo, Sugar and Husker Du then. Fast and loud. 15 songs in 70 minutes. Saw Sugar a few time in the 90s, but just missed out on last time Husker Du played the UK. Not going to happen now obviously.

I think it's just him and an electric guitar this time.

Ever read "Our band could be your life" by Michael Azzerad. Covers most 80s US alternative bands including Husker Du, Sonic Youth and Fugazi? Well worth a go if you have not.

I was trying to explain the difference between an asylum claim and a countries benefit system to our controversial chap on another thread, so much so I will take your advice and order it on amazon uk and put candy apple grey on full tilt 😂 Cheers.

Oi, you’ve caused enough trouble today pal.
If it wasn’t for educated folk in your musical upbringing you wouldn’t even know who anyone is other than what Simon Cowell told you what to like !!!

Now,put the kettle on and get your day two test sorted out.

Fugazi has to be one of the all time greats, everything about them is perfect. A fifteen year old me jumping around to ‘Waiting Room’ was a reasonably regular occurrence.

Shame Glos has me on ignore - can someone let him know that Elvis Costello has booked in to the new Swansea Arena.

I’m a little older than you then Itchy. Was always more of NY/Boston man-Sonic Youth, Pixies and Dinosaur Jr.
Only starting to appreciate Fugazi as an oldie. Although for and absolute visceral attack nothing beats Big Black’s ‘Kerosene’
