Those people weren’t attacking democrats for being democrats though. You are just talking about one riot vs hundreds on the other side.
I am certain you could walk through Texas with a Biden hat on and you would be perfectly safe, you may get a “Let’s go Brandon” comment but physically you would be fine, I’m sure of it.
The other side however I could guarantee you would be attacked. There are loads of documented examples of this already without even trying the experiment.
All extremes of politics are to be avoided like the plague. However there is only one group of people able to en masse force their views physically on the rest of us at the moment, it certainly wasn’t republicans rampaging through restaurants making the patrons make a black power/communist fist or face the mob.
I think a fair few need to asks themselves questions on this forum who ignores this kind of behaviour that we saw daily with no comment or condemnation…

I only call refer to myself on the right these days because it seems easier for people to understand, and certainly don’t want to be associated with those that label themselves on the left.
Lots of my political views are traditionally left, some traditionally right and the majority traditionally centrist.
The issue is the left have become so insane that normal centrists and right leaning people have had to label ourselves on the right as the right seems far more sensible and logical than the left. But I wouldn’t describe myself as left or right really.

I personally couldn't have cared less about Trump when he ran or when he was elected. Everything that has happened since though has crystalised to me who exactly are the corrupt out of control element in our societies (the societies of the West).
Trump did not do anything that the smear campaign accused him of...certainly none of the serious allegations...but they have crossed every boundary we have in our societies, every boundary. People can't be allowed to go unchallenged on this stuff anymore. If they make assertions about Trump presidency, they need to back it up and explain why they tolerate worse off the people they support. That is rational. I don't care if questioning people's beliefs hurt their feelings. Adults need to deal in facts.

There were a lot of people saying after the brexit vote that old people shouldn’t have the vote because they are likely to die soon and therefore won’t have to live with the results. Or that there should be some sort of IQ test before someone is allowed to vote. The media were more than happy to insinuate that leave voters were too old, uneducated, racist, poor, straight, male and white to have a valid opinion. There are equally extreme views on these shores.

What am I lying to myself about, that wherever in the world you go, whichever side of the divide you are on, left, right or somewhere in the middle, most of the politicians are corrupt, greedy, self serving liars who cause more trouble than they are worth.

I don’t consider socialism to be communism or Marxism, not sure what gave you that impression from what I wrote. But a socialist state can be, and often is, the pre curser to communism. It’s not that far a leap when productivity and entrepreneurship plummets, income to the country goes down, meaning you get hyper inflation where Government need to start taking more powers away from the people as unhappy people are a spark away from uprising.
I do subtlety just as well as anyone else, but this is a forum with the written word so it needs to be conveyed properly, which I don’t believe it was in this case, and still don’t think it is as I am still none the wiser what you mean by “correct”. Do you mean politically correct? You may need to expand on that, which is why I asked you to in my last post.

You have equated 2 things that are not the same.
