Under section 4 of the Foreign Enlistment Act 1870, it is an offence for a British subject to enlist in the military of a foreign state at war with another foreign state with which the UK is at peace.
A blind eye was turned in the 1930 for the Spanish civil war.
In Syria, they've been labelled as terrorists.
So what will they do if UK citizens now fight for Ukraine?

I forgot you had a major crush on leeane. Is she still in politics ?
From what a colleague tells me who went to see her speak, she is an activist rather than a standard politician and apparently she is carrying on as normal.
Continually being banned by Planet Swans for Porthcawl and then being reinstated.
How anyone can accuse someone of liking a drink when there is no evidence is naughty to put it mildly and I'm talking about Leanne.
Nick Servini: “God or no God?”
Leanne Wood: “No God.”
Nick Servini: “If weekends aren't taken up by Sunday service, how does the Plaid leader relax?”
Leanne Wood: “More likely to be a bottle of beer.”
We won’t even go into her other...ahem... experimental dalliances shall we say, Tramp.
It beats me why you persist in imagining her as some sort of end-of-terrace Dolores Ibarruri? If you’d have gone to the disco at the old Tonypandy Naval on a Friday night you could probably have pulled her!
An idea isn't responsible for those who believe in it.

I think she was a Pandy Library Club girl Loh. Goth central.
We were more diverse at Treorchy Rugby -Talking Heads, Smiths, Motown, The Cramps-a bit of everything really.
She's a few years younger than me and I can't recall her.

they had a hard time on the frontline during the pandemic see
Somebody apparently a father of daughters accusing a woman of having a drink problem when there is no evidence at all, is shocking bad form.
Problem? I don’t remember ever having said she had the slightest ‘problem’ with the craytur. She thoroughly enjoys it so far as I can see and her pallor would suggest.
The only thing that puzzles me is the height of this pedestal you’ve placed her on. You’re too old for a teen crush and it’s patently not her intellect that’s set a fire in your shorts, Tramp.

Conviction politician they are as rare as rocking horse sh*t, but she is one I'm struggling to name any others.

William Joyce? He did what he did out of conviction too, not for worldly gain.
As far as I can make out Wood took little if any payment from the Putin regime for her dozen or so appearances on RT, nor for the credulous nonsense she was spouting on air here and on RT in the wake of the Salisbury poisoning.
The fact that Joyce hadn’t personally enriched himself from behind the microphone at the Reichsender Hamburg didn’t save his neck in 1946, it’s unlikely to salvage much from the wreckage of her reputation when the dust finally settles in the East.
