| Post match thoughts 22:00 - Feb 28 with 4735 views | Dr_Parnassus | As usual I’ll be among the first to congratulate Martin and the players on a good win. I’ll put it in a separate thread as no doubt a select few will pretend they haven’t seen it and criticise as a result. I would have taken a draw before the match so to come away with 3 points is not something we can’t look too critically at, I am results driven in my analysis so I’ll keep taking the 3 points quite happily without much too concern elsewhere if that can become the norm. WBA were horrendous, they have now scored 1 goal in the last 7 games, it was clear why that was the case. I’d say we grew into the game, the first half was very dull, same slow and meaningless passing being noted by many, including the SKY commentators who said there is far too much focus on possession stats. I wasn’t keen on the lineup with no Ntcham and Wolf and Christie swapping sides. This was all corrected in game, but should have been right from the start in my view. I don’t like unsettling the team for no apparent reason. The positives is despite Martin adopting the wrong tactics and selection from the start he was able to recognise that and adjust. In the last 15 minutes we put on Ntcham, had the wingbacks on the correct flanks and started to go more direct, exposing gaping holes in the WBA wide defensive areas which was commented on early on the match day thread. Our first goal saw 2 passes from our own 18 yard box to scoring the goal, the second goal saw 3 passes from our own defensive third to scoring the goal. There is a lot to learn there for Martin, if he is willing to see it. Positive results, positive affirmation of the way we should be playing - will it be capitalised on? Time will tell. That’s where I am today. [Post edited 28 Feb 2022 23:20]

He’s annoyed because i stamped his narrative out early, he’s also annoyed I read the game and called it spot on early. I knew he was going to pretend that these gaps were the result of the nonsense passing and possession style. That why I got those observations in the first half quoted up and ready to go. He doesn’t celebrate wins, he looks for conflict. He gets annoyed when you ruin his angle. There is a couple like that about at the moment.

😂😂 Where the passing & possession did pay off was after we scored 🤣🤣 God help us......we got some right silly stubborn donkeys posting on this site. Best they post on this site rather than go out and say stuff like this in public......🤣🤣🤣

Absolutely, there is clearly some angry fans about. Whenever we get any kind of a result they are out for arguments with anyone who’s called it right, don’t ask why. They are stewing at the moment because I picked the key to winning the game within 20 mins, so I expect to get it in the neck for that bit of foresight for the next week while they get their frustration out. Comes with the territory.

But why is this so. Why cannot fans simply agree to disagree. Is this because Wales as a nation and welsh people have a deeply felt insecurity which is accepted by many historically. Is this why we lack arrogance, confidence and chutzpah wheras the filthy hated English are seen as the opposite. Our first thoughts are to burst anyone seen as successful, confident or simply different ,evidenced by the hatred towards Tory voters because south Wales is a labour stronghold. Ok I quite like to burst egos and challenge but watching Fisher alone should be enough to wake people up. It's not though.

In this case there is nothing to disagree with, the problem comes when you can back that with facts. Nobody was bothered when I mentioned the gaps in their defensive flanks in the game, as soon as it happened daps and co went to work creating the narrative that they only appeared late on and that our whole master plan up to that point with the horrific passing game was to expose them. Sadly they were there from minute 1, the shape they adopted was horrendous and they committed to the press. We were just too slow in thought and tactically set up not to take advantage. But it’s definitely some form of insecurity, I guess that’s why some rarely give their views until something has happened. They have a fear of their own interpretation skills. While others are more than happy to read the game and comment. You can expand that to Martin’s reign too, lots of people have said “comment at the end”, they are unable to read what is going on before them.

Martin,to his credit, prepared well for his interview and pulled the pants down f those who interviewed him. I wished to Christ I had interviewed him. Anyone with a brain goes to an interview prepared but it is the interviewer's job to see through the smokescreen . Ours were blinded by the light. Meanwhile,Chris Wilder, one who on this said was said to be " not right for our club" is minutes away from dumping Tottenham not so Hotspur. Wilder is the wily old fox we can only dream of. Stones my soul.

Why do you so hate the Welsh and it's people? Come to that why do you hate Swansea and it's people ? Yiu cannot wait to take axswipe whether it is at Swansea as a city, a football team or Wales in general It is clear why the Tories are hated, not just in Wales but in many parts of England and Scotland too. They have torn the industrial heart out of this country and left many a working man and woman with nothing but their pride. As for hating the English, that is more of a tribal thing reserved for sporting occasions mainly, although I don't agree with it even then. Many of us have English blood or English relatives so I don't imagine there are many of us directing hate towards the English on a personal level. Arrogance is no great quality ( see you and Dr P for why that is so) but we have plenty of confidence and pride in Wales. Clearly you are better off staying in the Wirral in the shadow of your "Mrs Bouquets " who obviously make you feel inferior. Wales and Swansea doesn't want or need your kind

Why on earth would you be wound up by anything I say? All I read is you lashing out and calling people names. If you don’t like his views then debate them. If you won’t debate them then ignore them. Stinking out every thread by calling people names and abusing them is not a good look.

On the contrary, you and OHL tie up every thread with your nonsense. He launched an attack on Swansea on Wales. What are you not incensed by his ratings? Do you not care enough about Swansea and Wales ?

You mean give our views on “some threads”? Like you are supposed to do on a football forum. It’s not to run around thread to thread calling people names because you don’t agree with them. Of course I’m not incensed by anyone who doesn’t like Wales or Swansea, why would I be? I’m an adult and perfectly aware that people can like and dislike whatever they wish.

That is a joke though. You don't allow people to like or dislike whatever they like. As for not being incensed with what your buddy UHL had to say, then clearly you have no pride in Swansea or Wales either. Supposedly you are in Australia ( although I wouldn't believe a word you say ) Perhaps that is the best place for you chum You great gullah

Do you have an example of me not allowing someone to like or dislike something? Don’t think I have ever not allowed such a thing. Do you mean “not agreeing”? Either way I’m happy to take a look… assuming you aren’t lying of course (which is ironic given what you just posted). I’m not incensed by anything on a football forum. Nothing to do with pride, it’s to do with being sensible. [Post edited 1 Mar 2022 23:24]

It would need a forum of it's own to show all the examples of you not allowing someone to like or dislike something You constantly post time after time in the hope that people with alternate views ( or likes or dislikes ) will go away. Sadly it only means you are ruining this forum

I’m not asking for every example. One will do. You don’t even have to find it if you don’t want to, just tell me an example. If I disagree then I can go back and do the donkey work to find it, happy to do so. The only person I’m seeing post time after time refusing to give their views and instead attack others for theirs, is you. I can give you some examples if you like? Happy to return the favour.
