Hi all

Any recommendations where to take my dad for something to eat in Cardiff before the game ? Plan was to drive in any get the train over the the Bay. Sure there are some nice places to eat there, and will probably be better than the City

I'm a big fan of this place.

It's in the city centre though. It's also really small so you need to be very lucky to get a table. It's worth it if you can though, you won't leave there hungry!

Mainly mid-market chains Jon when I visited last year- Wagamama, Cote, Bill's etc just like every other city. Manchester and Liverpool are a bit spoiled with so many independents. May be better off in the centre as there are a few places getting a bit of attention for better quality.

It’s not in the Bay - it’s Cowbridge Rd East in Canton but when we’ve gone to Wales football matches we’ve previously had food in the below. It’s a small independent Italian restaurant. You’d probably need to book though.

It is mainly chains in the bay.

This is another good shout, slightly off the town centre beaten track. Another authentic Italian but bigger.

Ah ok, looking at the trains, they're not that regular, so will stay in the centre. Thanks all

You will need to book a table John. If you don't, you won't get one.

Swansea Indepenent Poster Of The Year 2021. Dr P / Mart66 / Roathie / Parlay / E20/ Duffle was 2nd, but he is deluded and thinks in his little twisted brain that he won. Poor sod. We let him win this year, as he has cried for a whole year. His 14 usernames, bless his cotton socks.

They should clear the restaurant for Jon and his party.

Poll: Christmas. Enjoyable or not

Giovannis.

They have a place on the Hayes, Park Place and down the bay.

Only been to the one on the Hayes but assume the other 2 are just as good.

Good lunchtime menu.

The one on the Hayes is small and popular. Plenty of photos of celebrities who have eaten there. Best to book in advance.
