That was Swansea City this afternoon 19th Mar 2022 17:15To say this wasn’t a Swansea City classic would be the understatement of the season in a very slow and yet again ponderous ninety minutes or so at the swansea.com stadium. For Swansea it was a game of loose passes, a total lack of energy and when it’s all summed up a demonstration of how mundane Russell Martin’s style of play can be when it doesn’t click. 0 Come on then Jacks lets have your views. Its always boring when we don't win. Anyway, COME ON LA FRANCE

If I never watched the next 3 games guaranteed the same mistakes and same pedestrianised football will be played...

They peppered our goal, had 6 clear cut chances to score and numerous other half chances. We had a few half chances ourselves. That is nerve wracking, concerning, depressing, anger inspiring etc etc but certainly not boring.

I have to disagree again. I have watched some very good games where we haven't won. Most of the last 12 months have been rubbish to watch though.

I din't find it boring from a Birmingham point of view. It was quite exciting, but that is not want I want to see. I want the excitement down the other end of the field thanks.

| Swansea Indepenent Poster Of The Year 2021. Dr P / Mart66 / Roathie / Parlay / E20/ Duffle was 2nd, but he is deluded and thinks in his little twisted brain that he won. Poor sod. We let him win this year, as he has cried for a whole year. His 14 usernames, bless his cotton socks.

| Nondescript, toothless and lucky. That was Swansea City this afternoon on 00:53 - Mar 20 with 630 views | ReslovenSwan1 | Lacking energy and spark seems to be a recurring theme. The squad cannot deliver home performances if they have had a midweek away fixture. This is due to poor conditioning and lack of rotation. Peterborough is a 4-5 hour coach journey. Laudrup had to go to Krasnador on one occasion and play a Premier league match after. I do not recall him complaining. | |

Now we are safe I’ve come to the conclusion that I (like you) don’t want him wasting what precious money we have for the summer window. The players must be well out of proper conditioning - the speed of most sides attacking us this season has been a real eye opener looking at our lifeless and half hearted efforts. Is it the players simply not wanting to play for this guy anymore? It’s heartbreaking when you see players like Wolf not being able to make the impact on the game that they want to and are capable of. The big gear for me is we’ve managed to get good loan players over the years but this style won’t help or develop any of them. The result may be we don’t get this calibre of player because the parent club will look at us and think a loan here will bring no benefit to their player. The team look like they’re carrying deadweights around the pitch, don’t look happy to be out there and the goal kick tactic is now actually so useless it’s making me cringe 😬. The oppo aren’t buying it, it gives us no advantage and we just look like a team from a walking league - listless and in deep malaise. Maybe now is the proper time to start looking for a new guy, while we have time so a quick change can be made and the new manager can assess the players and know what he wants come the summer window. That facilitates a good pre season instead of dropping him in it like we did to Martin after Cooper. I have always wanted Russell Martin to succeed but after all this time (and after a decent autumn) we have regressed as a club terribly. We’re not really rich enough to consider “transition seasons” anymore - Martin likes that phrase but it’s becoming more hollow by each lethargic game we play. If we had had the balls the change him in January we might have made the play offs as we’ve got some great players - but they’re being terribly mismanaged. Sorry to sound negative (most know me as being a little over optimistic than a pessimist) but this is where I think we are right now. We’re a club that have maybe over achieved over the last 15 years but we had the spirit to fight and step up to those marks. It’s just not there anymore.

The problem (well, one of many problems) is that Martin is Winter's appointment, after he shafted Cooper. And Allen is obviously a waste of space otherwise we'd be hearing more from him. So which of those is going to be the first to admit that the experiment has failed? And even if they did sack Martin, I have no faith Winter would do any better with the next man. Whole senior leadership needs turning over, so we'd better hope that Silverstein steps up or Morgan steps back in, because I can't see where else the impetus is going to come from.

Great honest posting the like of which we need to ee more of. Brynmill is like me in that he clearly hates what he sees.Id suggest all do. Our club is slipping away every single day this man is allowed to take charge. Good players destroyed, promising ones sent out ignominiously and a good goalkeeper career ruined and all becaus e Martin has a crush on Fisher. It's not even remotely amusing. Watching other teams ,we are noticeably slow, lethagic and inefficient;punters call it lack of concentration. We are a decent club and deserve better than this. Get him out anyway we can.

Cooper shafted himself and has fallen on his feet. Fair play to him.

Maybe they carried out an extension in the summer which isn’t visible to the human eye ??? It’s laughable.
