I do feel that even the staunchest of Martinball fans are approaching the end of the line with it.
Little comments here and there give it away, silence on other subjects do similar. Often it’s not what is said that gives some away, it’s what isn’t said.
I was watching some of the away fans videos they post online and the comments from Forest fans, whilst respectful are embarrassing to read. They were laughing at our goal kick routine with Fisher passing it out then pushing forward to be another CB leaving the goals completely empty.
They said that is bound to backfire and seems a pointless risk for what is very little attacking gain. They are right of course, and they had no idea of it failing the very week previous in embarrassing fashion.
I gave Martin a chance, said I had faith he would change things and stick to it. But it has slowly been confirmed that we are being used as his vanity project. He has an obsession with trying to appear innovative but there is so little technical or practical thought behind it, the execution is just so clumsy and transparent.
I don’t think I’ve ever been so concerned about a manager before. Not even Bradley had me this concerned as I was pretty sure he would be given the boot if he didn’t win games, with Martin I’m not so sure. It’s like he’s the leader of a cult, sadly the club is ritual sacrifice. |  |

I’d love to see Gio Savarese being given a go.
He’s done very well in the MLS, speaks well, has excellent game intelligence and was one of my favourite acquisitions back in the day. I remember his debut against Stoke at home, wonderful player at that level and has since developed into a talented manager and has a history of developing youth.
