This has to be right up there.
Probably one of the most recognised Rock n Roll songs ever! I was having a ðŸ»ðŸº this afternoon and a guy at the bar started singing Route 66. So we had a chat and he called us a pair of old Rockers. I had to correct him that I was a middle aged Rocker.

I’ll chip in with a couple. First is a reggae song from 1977/78, I really disliked it when it first came out but over the years it’s grown on me. Championed by John Peel back in the day.
The second is also from the late 70s and is regarded as punk/new wave, lyrics are French and a bit nonsensical, but it’s got a great tune.

Good shout with Love Is In The Air, one of the most uplifting songs I have heard. I had to google this mind, just to remind me, Joe Dolce shaddup your face.
Although if I wasn't googling it, I would have gone for Marrs, Pump up The Volume,
Seemed to be in the charts for an eternity.
