3. Promotion after taking over bottom of the league club 8 games into the season.
Incredible 3 seasons.
“The goods” will be survival this year, it won’t be easy but he should have enough in the squad to guide them to safety. If he doesn’t he will be the best man to take them up and with the nucleus they will already have, they will be a dangerous side.

Of course they won’t be expecting more than survival.
They haven’t backed Cooper, they have backed themselves. I’m sure he had nothing to do with most of those signings, they are simply providing the club with assets that he then has to incorporate into a team.
But regardless of how much they spend they won’t be expecting more than survival in their first season, or their second for that matter. Come third or fourth season they may want to then push on - again similar to the Brighton model. | |

Cooper has a hell of a job on his plate. 19 new characters he does not know , all from different cultures. He will need 4 month just to get them singing off the same hymn sheet. If he gets a better offer then of course he will take it, why wouldn’t he. Same as Potter is doing at Brighton.
He’s not bottling the job at Brighton, or running away - he’s taking a better job. Which is exactly the same as what he did with us.
I’m not convinced Cooper has enjoyed the influx of 20+ players, if he’s offered the Brighton job he may well take it.
