Surely you’re not saying that fist play and justice isn’t deeply instilled in the English mindset ? Forget about ancient history, we’re talking now. On a practical point of view if Wales went alone, you’d need a new qualification so English qualified barristers would not be able to practice in Wales and vice versa. Well the war in Syria or was it Iraq (I can check if you like), there was a vote for use to put boots on the ground, Celtic MPs voted against on mass, the majority of English MPs voted for war, now as you know the weight of numbers favour English MPs but because it was virtually 100% of Celtic MPs voted against they just about carried the vote and stopped the country going to war, the vote was not on party grounds it was stark the MPs based in the Celtic countries voted against war the MPs based in England voted for war, it was not reported in the press in that vain but that is what happened, the voting record is a matter of public record, it was a big thing at the time we was about to go to war out there, I checked the vote, got a pen and paper because it was jumping out at me and low and behold literally to a man and woman the Celtic MPs voted against war and the majority of English MPs voted for war, so there is a difference in sentiment and I would be hopeful that an independent Wales would make great fair and just laws. | |
