| Bring Back Boris 18:22 - Oct 20 with 6019 views | britferry | I can't believe what I am hearing on the news, he's got quite a following, I think a lot of MP's think he'll save their jobs. Hopefully he's got quite a few lucrative speeches lined up and he would rather go for the cash than make a return as PM. | |

For me, he would be the best man in the tory party for the job, never thought I would say I'd rather have the tories in than labour, but I'm not fond of starmer, when he talks his voice goes through me, plus drakers being labour as well, is a good enough reason for me. Also the media did a bit of a job on him over partygate, blown out of all proportion. [Post edited 22 Oct 2022 16:08]

I think some of that was from Uxbridge, Johnson’s constituency so has to be taken with a pinch of salt. You’re not wrong though but I don’t think the sentiment is limited to just England. Seems a lot of folk in the Red Wall would rather Boris. | | | | Login to get fewer ads

IMO of the two Rishi Sunak would be the better PM, Boris would be labour's worst nightmare.

“I’m not fond of Starmer when he talks his voice goes through me “ . Is that the basis upon which you consider voting for your future? Also ( and I’m no fan ) Drakers has absolutely nothing to do with Westminster.

I'll be honest with you, yes I would not vote for Starmer or labour, purely because of the way he speaks. And it's always Drakefords fault for everything, don't you know. But I suppose he is representing labour, so that's why I said about drakers. Sort of makes me wary of labour.

Yep, the ‘monster’ that ripped through government since 2016. It’s always difficult to pin what’s been going on (or what % of it) is due to Brexit but the merry go round of government leaders and their ministers is clearly due to it. Latest polling shows 59% want to rejoin and it’s rising over time. Give it 10 years or so and it’ll be politically sensible to back it. We’ll look back and wonder what on earth we were thinking.

Absolutely not blown out of proportion, the guy set the laws of the land and totally disregarded them numerous times. There are plenty other issues too including the Pincher business where Johnson didn’t, but then did know Pincher’d previously been investigated. His conduct over that was what caused his downfall. You should judge someone by their deeds, not the way they speak or their accent.

That's a difficult one to prove. Surely nobody with any sense will want Bojo back? The bloke is a proven liar, untrustworthy, borderline criminal and had to resign in disgrace. At least Sunak has an idea how to run the economy and wouldn't appoint a steaming useless great idiot as Chancellor, twice! How Hunt got the job is truly mind boggling, he was totally useless as health sec and what qualified hi to be Chancellor?

He really wouldn’t, he’d be a dream. All questions would be about his be thrown out by his own party, being investigated, Pincher, constantly on holiday since he resigned. Sunak is sensible, though ‘not British ‘ according to a Tory party member on LBC today.

It doesn’t need to be proven if you have a brain. Brexit gave us Bodger, not the other way around. Naked ambition and xenophobia has tanked the economy and landed the country firmly in the sewer with all the other pariah states around the world, just like you were told at the time.

Fair enough, but I think they did, it was on ITV from the start of the breakfast news until late afternoon and then going again on the evening news. It was obvious what their intentions were doing that, I said to the missis at the time, ferking hell I'm half expecting them to start slagging off boris in the rovers later in corrie. I'm not excusing his actions, but they have been blown out of all proportion by our lovely non biased media.

If I purposely misled the court, I’d be hauled up in front of the Bar Standards Board and I’d be struck off. He lied multiple times and his own party kicked him out.

It is a sign of utter desperation to even consider him. I’m afraid he was caught out and he pays the price. His grotesque ego sees this political destruction

Of course, but my point was that the media chose to highlight this for at least 8 hours plus a day, until he went.
