Ryan Manning’s battle cry for Birmingham City 7th Nov 2022 12:31
It hasn’t been good enough is the summary from Irish international Ryan Manning as the swans travel to St Andrew’s for tomorrow nights clash against Birmingham City. Speaking today Ryan identified the obvious issues with Swansea as the last two games of this half of the season come to an end. 0

Swansea City beware of the threat and the consequences 8th Nov 2022 11:21
Have no doubts about it Birmingham City have found their feet under the guidance of John Eustace. Like every club he had a handful of dissenters after three games at the helm at the blues. As Russell Martin did a year ago he is giving ‘some’ hope to a club who have had little in recent years. 0

Swansea City: Steven Benda; Nathan Wood, Harry Darling, Ben Cabango; Joel Latibeaudiere, Jay Fulton, Matt Grimes (captain), Ryan Manning; Olivier Ntcham, Luke Cundle; Joel Piroe.

Substitutes: Andy Fisher, Michael Obafemi, Jamie Paterson, Armstrong Oko-Flex, Kyle Naughton, Matty Sorinola, Ollie Cooper.

Birmingham City: John Ruddy, Maxime Colin, Auston Trusty, Dion Sanderson, Jordan Graham, Scott Hogan, Troy Deeney (captain), Juninho Bacuna, Tahith Chong, Hannibal, Emmanuel Longelo.

Substitutes: Neil Etheridge, George Friend, Lukas Jutkiewicz, Jordan James, Jobe Bellingham, George Hall, Jonathan Leko.

Why can't we go for the throat instead of sitting back and being happy with a 1 goal lead.

Because we aren’t good enough.
Or maybe not confident enough in our defence, which has just given away another lead way too easily……..

As soon as they equalise we start playing like we should have at the start of the half.
That’s surely a lesson we just can’t learn ?

I think that’s the frustration, we can win games like this at a canter if we remain positive. But someone, be it Martin or the players mindset just doesn’t see it.

Because that's not the game plan. That's why we're largely dependent upon players who can stifle teams rather than tear into them.

Unfortunately we're simply not well enough organised defensively under Martin and show little sign of ever becoming so. The talent is there, the organisation is not.

Pain or damage don't end the world. Or despair, or f*cking beatings. The world ends when you're dead. Until then, you got more punishment in store. Stand it like a man... and give some back.

Martin was urging the team to get forward, but the team didn't respond.

Some very good moments, but we looked tired and negative in the run up to the equalizing goal. I would have taken a point at Birmingham, but if we have playoff ambitions this was 2 points dropped.

It’s what drives me nuts Keith
Brim are nothing much and tonightvshowed we can play but when ahead we either choke or try to defend . We cannot defend so attacking is our best defence of a lead

It drives us all nuts, there will come a time when the whole set up will have to be reviewed.

Been fannying about with the ball to much, passing for the sake of passing, why he brought Sorinola on for I never know.

This ^

WTF was he thinking.

Attack is the best form of defence and we take our foot off the gas and invite them onto us.

He should have brought flex and oba on for lati and piroe.

If Martin was egging them on and they didn’t respond the player’s ambitions must be questioned.
It’s like we’re (as fans) in the middle of some bad acid trip and with no end in sight.

We are good enough though we have good attacking players who are not utilised properly.

We had flex and paterson on the bench, great attacking players who would have helped energise us.

Perhaps he was thinking about Saturday.

A warning to you all, we are both going on Saturday and we haven't seen us win all season.

As I said he was urging the side to push forward, he put Obafemi on for the out ball and nobody had the ability or the vision to give him the chance, he kept Piroe on and Cooper was on, to much first time passing around until we give it away, we can criticize Martin all we want and that's fair enough on times, but players on the field have to take some responsibility and especially the Captain to give instructions.

K.
This is a very poor league
Hudds beat QPR tonight
Rotherham beat Blades

We have the players but we committ football suicide . We are lax at the beginning of games and the end.

A half decent coach would have us permanent top six. My opinion.

To say we d have taken a point before the game is no relief.

Better basicsxwould have seen us cruise

I m fearing Benda is having a dip in form.

It was a really disappointing 2nd half from us, the game was there for us, they never really looked like scoring until we handed them the initiative.
Players mind set needs to change and rapidly.

You’re right but the manager must have the ability to get the players to play to their potential individually and as a team. He’s clearly not at the moment.

A good and unexpected point tbh.
Disappointing that it was only a few minutes from 3 but even so a good point.
