Factually the USA outplayed mighty England. Most rational people can observe the obvious. I do agree with you that British nationalism can cloud rational thought to the point where simply pointing out the above is considered somehow wrong. What welsh fans may or may not want to happen is neither here nor there. The fact is that in front of the worlds media they weren’t as good as they thought they were. Nothing more than that. I am sure you will join me in hoping Cymru beats the Saes, however unlikely that outcome is. And yes its very unlikely. Annibyniaeth ðŸ´ó §ó ¢ó ·ó ¬ó ³ó ¿

| Come on England on 19:03 - Nov 25 by Tummer_from_Texas | And if that 2nd win comes against Wales, this is all a moot point anyway. So the original premise "Come on England" like you need them to beat the USA is still inaccurate. And I think it's safe to say that USA has a very good chance of beating Iran. That would mean that USA beating England is in Wales' best interests. Plus, it's England. I mean come on Jacks. [Post edited 25 Nov 2022 19:07]

Many would rather us lose every game as long as we beat England ,at anything. I used to think like this and it took me 30 years to get this Welsh trait out of my system. Amazing the number of English folk here that are not interested in the slightest Godvonly knows what Killkennynis like

We can’t talk, we still bLeat on about the 70s in rugby and qualifying and doing well in the last two tournaments. Of course they’re going on about 1966, they won the WC

They won - at home and when only about 6 teams took it seriously. It was even in black and white ffs. For a nation of 3m to get to the Euro16 semi-final when its a global game -and in colour ! - is a far bigger achievement. ðŸ´ó §ó ¢ó ·ó ¬ó ³ó ¿â¤ï¸

Oh come on, they won the World Cup and persistently done well and got to the latter stages. Getting to the 1/4s no where near matches their win. If we get knocked out, hope they win it.

For me the England team at International level is the equivalent of Cardiff city to Swans fans at club level. Swansea urban fans are a more parochial whereas Neath Valley people have a more global outlook. The worst thing than can b happen is the England let Wales win and the world detests Wales for being part of a stitch up. IF Page picks Ramsey after two 2/10 performances as a send off I would a sack him immediately before the gsme. Ramsey can come on a 90+3 with Wales 3-0 down at best.

Does it makes a difference to the ‘English opinion’ I wonder if people live in England amongst the English as opposed to living in Wales all their life ? Don’t dislike England or Cardiff. Want Swansea and Wales to win, what other teams do, don’t particularly bother me unless it affects Wales. On a global level, be good to have as many Welsh teams playing at a higher level as possible

I had 2 English mates who messaged me yesterday wishing us luck both hoping Wales & England would qualify from the group. Obviously there are a few posters on here who have no experience of life outside Wales & are so filled with hate they will never grow as people & are happy for our country to go backwards as long at they can keep hating England. I feel sorry for them.

Summed up by the ‘As long as we beat the English, we don’t care’ song. Held us back for so long, I had pelters as soon as I went back to the office yesterday but was well deserved as I took the mick relentlessly after they lost to Iceland.

It’s the rugby boys and girls who sing that song, and wear the ABE T-shirts.

The English press don’t help matters. They build up average English football teams into world beaters. Then they fall on their backside every time.

I know you are a high flyer etc. But if you are going to put Cymru down then at least get your facts correct. In Euro16 Cymru reached the semi- final, not the 1/4 final. Thats a far better achievement than England in 1966 at home. In 1966 only England, West Germany, Brazil and Argentina had a chance of winning it. Portugal also did well. Clearly to get to the last 4 in the Euros … Cymru had to compete with modern day Spain, France, Ingerland, Belgium, Italy, Nederlands, Germany, Denmark, and Portugal. Far more competitive. No comparison, away from home as well. England did not qualify for the World Cup in 1966, 1970, 1974, 1978 and 1994. Not quite the world power they claim to be. 🇬🇧 [Post edited 27 Nov 2022 0:07]

Yes my mistake, did mean semi. I’m not putting Wales down simply think winning the WC is better then reaching the semi of a Euro. And as for being a ‘high flyer’ whether that’s true or not, has nothing to do with my knowledge or lack of it, when it comes to football. I’ve said before, it’s nowhere near the level of most people on here
