Firefighters have a very strong Union indeed. It is left wing,it is very much all for its workers
Having to resign because if this seems a failure to involve the FBU who should have investigated themselves.
The Police had much worse goings on but you faced worse on the streets and those that bullied would back up the very people bullied .Odd isn’t it. They used to say if you take it from a colleague then you wouldn’t take it at all on the streets where you meet real evil.
Police are very much making up for this nowadays although…
Crime figures are shocking
5% burglary clear up
Drug offences virtually ignored
No specialist Motorway Traffic officers
Officers who actually help and assist protesters to obstruct the highway and last but not least
Cars driven with rainbow colours and celebration Black History month
All this when many are afraid to venture out in the dark ,others black kids seemingly doomed to get stabbed by black kids when stop search is not accepted by the likes of local MPs because it affects their image .

It’s a few anecdotal stories in a population of about fifty thousand workers. Deal with the individuals involved but tarring the whole force with the “systemically and institutionally racist/sexist tag is incredibly unfair to the huge majority who act professionally every day. |

Things have probably been said and done but its nowhere near the scale as its been made out, this news comes out when we have balloted for strike action which will probably occur in January, funny that isn't it.
Yes there was a problem, about 20 years ago going back because the fire service was mainly males but it's been stamped out successfully, women, people from ethnic minorities and people who are gay are encouraged to apply, they are supported whilst in their applications and supported strongly when they join, I suspect its the same in every brigade in the country.

Its very true that the likes of fire fighters ,police and Paramedics run towards danger when others run away.These the people that slag them off in the first place.
I spent many years liaising with Fire fighters at very sharp ends when they went into infernos and freed people trapped in cars whilst we basically stood by . I found them all professional to the core although hardly police lovers mainly because of the strike in the 70s.
I simply am very suspicious of these reports and trust my own experiences first
Fireboy and me are hardly chums thanks to the farming Swans but I have nothing but respect for him as a bloke and a professional firefighter. He's not the only firefighter Ive come across either.
