Club complains about behaviour again 00:30 - Apr 6 with 1663 viewsKeithHaynes

Not sure what the behaviour was, when and by whom. But surely any witnessed behaviour would have been dealt with by paid persons on these buses passing on the information to the 250 plus police on duty ?

OS

Swansea City is disappointed to have to highlight anti-social behaviour among a minority of the club’s supporters before Saturday’s south Wales derby at Cardiff City Stadium.

The staging of a fixture of this magnitude requires immense planning and operational resources from the two clubs, local coach companies, and South Wales Police.

Despite the club issuing clear guidance to supporters in advance of matchday, there were several incidents of disruption and anti-social behaviour, particularly on supporter coaches put on to provide travel for fans attending the game.

Unfortunately, staff on buses and drivers from various companies were subjected to verbal abuse which is unacceptable.

There was also damage caused to a coach, internally and externally, for which the club will now incur considerable repair costs.

These incidents are now being investigated, while there is also the risk that these instances will impact on the club’s ability to provide transport for supporters to attend future away games.

These events were the actions of a minority, and the club would like to place on record its sincere thanks and gratitude to the majority of supporters who behaved impeccably and provided fantastic support to Russell Martin and the players in what was a memorable victory.

A great believer in taking anything you like to wherever you want to.

With it being a bubble the club must know exactly who had a ticket for that/those buses, just ban them from everything connected with the club.

I doubt all 50 on the bus were responsible.

"supporters" / "fans" like this we can do without....

IT seems form the club posting "officials" on the coaches were subject to abuse...perhaps from the "uber fans" who didnt like being told to behave for whatever reason.

Lets hope they are identified and banned.....imagine having a go at your own and the property of your own.....understandable in the bad old days against rival fans etc but on your own coaches?

There was a minority that could barely stand let alone walk when they arrived at the buses.

They normally aren't the issue being too legless to say bread let alone anything else, the problem stems from those who've had a few just enough to make them edgy & brave, I stopped going away because my idea of fun doesn't include getting soaked in beer and watching my ps & qs amongst my own

We have magnificent away support, but there is a tiny minority who are nothing short of lowlifes and its a shame because we all get tarred.

To me the bibble trip in itself has become a problem. people know they will be at the ground too early and mayeb at the away end early, they drink beofre gettingto the ground then they get a chance to have beer in Cardiff.

It'd be far better, in my opinion, to have the Derby as an early kick off (say 11am) then have the buses leave at 9.45 and after the game get the fans back on the buses and back to Swansea PDQ. The trip should be 3.5 hours tops and not this 7-8 hours nonsense. We should be in the ground as close to KO as possible and back out quickly too.

All the staff on buses should have bodycams AND a fixed camera on the bus. They're not expensive to buy and can be attached with velco, fans have to accept this or be refused tickets.

There will always be idiots, specially when they can get beer.

"Been informed that Cardiff CEO Ken Choo is probing the behaviour of Swansea City Club Ambassador Lee Trundle at the Cardiff City Stadium last Saturday.

Trundle is thought to have participated in vile-language anti-Cardiff songs at the stadium visitor's section.

It is expected Choo will be in contact with his CEO counterpart at Swansea over Trundle's unacceptable public performance.

Trundle, who is seen as a hero at Swansea, but who flopped after a £1m move to Bristol City in the 2007/08 season, is due to lead a Swans side against a Cardiff City representative team led by Andy Legg at Brintirion FC on April 23.

The match was to raise funds for former Swansea and Cardiff star Jason Bowen who has been struck with Motor Neuron Disease.

There now must be doubts about Liverpool-born Trundle's involvement in the fixture due to the threat of potential crowd trouble.

Cardiff Chairman Mehmet Dalman has transmitted his thoughts to Choo on the issue."
