| So,who does Jesus support 21:09 - Jun 10 with 3327 views | onehunglow | Players from both sides crossing themselves twice ,picking up a clod of grass and offering prayer to the heavens . Jesus has a tough job on his hands. I mean whose side is he on. Or,look at it this way,why don’t player cease this crap and keep religion out of sport. Pray in the dressing room or the lavatory. Or ,it is virtue signalling I think it’s grotesque | |

| So,who does Jesus support on 17:29 - Jun 12 by Tummer_from_Texas | Perhaps they are praying for the health and safety of all the players on the pitch. Why does it matter, and why does it bother people? I used to think atheists (or agnostics or whatever) just wanted to be left alone to live their lives, which I support fully. But it's starting to look like they are some of the most closed-minded hypocrites walking the planet. [Post edited 12 Jun 2023 17:30]

It’s not close minded to utterly reject a story book of fables, allegories and myths written thousands of years ago as literal fact. If I told you I believe Harry Potter and the wizarding world is real because I read it in a book you’d think I was mental. And rightly so. But you can’t prove Harry Potter isn’t real. So he must be real.

Atheists do want to be left alone. But if religious nut jobs want to set laws based on a book of fairy stories then they’ve (including me) have every right to stand up and say no. In the (paraphrased) words of Christopher Hitchens: "First, first I've said repeatedly that this stuff [(religion)] cannot be taken away from people, it is their favourite toy, and it will remain so as long - as Freud said, in The Future Of An Illusion - it will remain that way as long as we're afraid of death and have that problem which is, I think, will likely be a very long time. "Second, I hope I've made it clear, that I'm perfectly happy for people to have these toys, and to play with them at home, and hug them to themselves and so on, and to share them with other people who come around and play with the toys. So that's absolutely fine. They are not to make me play with these toys. I will not play with the toys. Don't bring the toys to my house, don't say my children must play with these toys, or are not allowed their toys. I'm not going to have any of that.

We are not UN registered states but have our own team. The only other teams in this situation is Kosovo, Gibraltar and possibly Taiwan (? needs research). Gallicia, Catalonia,, Brittany, Kurdistan, South and north Yemen, South Sahara Eritrea? South Sudan? Peurto Rico have no teams (subject to checking). |
God’s own pitch???😂😂😂 [Post edited 12 Jun 2023 19:39]

If it gives people solace then I don't see the problem personally I think everyone can believe or not believe in whatever God they like. Makes not a jot of difference to me.

It bothers people because religion kills this life for an ever lasting life which is fantasy Billions hoodwinked and pressured and bullied into adhering to old rules drawn up many tears after Jesus lived .
