Our very own RWC thread.

Ireland, Scotland, Wales and England will join 16 other nations as they compete for the ultimate prize in rugby – the Webb Ellis Cup – which was last won by the Springboks in 2019. The opening match of Rugby World Cup 2023 will see hosts France face three-time winners New Zealand on Friday 8th September. The final will take place seven weeks later on Saturday 28th October.

Would love to see a Northern Hemisphere team win it. France or Ireland but I'm tipping the AB's. Hope I'm wrong!

France have a good chance. Strongest they’ve been for some time.

Ironically, their downfall maybe that they’re playing at home with fickle French crowds. When things start going against them on the field, the crowds can be quite unforgiving.

I fancy us to do well quarter finals at the very least, we do have a talented squad although Alun Wyn will a big lose in leadership terms so if we can cut some poor decision making then I think we'll surprise a few

My opinion is that you’re going to be disappointed though I would say there’s enough in the pipeline for them to give it a go at RWC27.

Most Likely the winners will be either All Blacks, S Africa or France in fact i would be extremely but pleasantly surprised if anyone else other than one of those three lifted the trophy.

I’m really worried about Fiji. They are an excellent side this time around.

A totally different incarnation compared to previous Fiji teams.

If we can win the first game I can see us going deep.

Easy to say but try to keep feeding the backs and moving the ball, The Fijians are fearsome big hitters ,I certainly would like to be tackled by even their water boy let alone one of their props

Bring it on, i got smashed loads of times that's why my body and face is fvcked but most of the hits were after I'd got rid of the pill, laughed at the dirty b@stard who hit me late with the saying 'the ball has gone dickhead' 🤣

If the boys play with their brains against the Fijians they will win and with gats back in charge I think they will.

Have Ireland peaked too soon? Could the French with the steel added by Edwards do it?

And thank god Pivac is gone

The French need the top 3” to be working properly and they’ll do it.

I concur regards the Irish.

You will be rooting for England as usual.

Swansea Indepenent Poster Of The Year 2021. Dr P / Mart66 / Roathie / Parlay / E20/ Duffle was 2nd, but he is deluded and thinks in his little twisted brain that he won. Poor sod. We let him win this year, as he has cried for a whole year. His 14 usernames, bless his cotton socks.

I don’t know a huge amount about rugby and what I’ve seen of them recently they’ve been entertaining as well as efficient.

But I don’t think they’ll get out of their group.

Getting a result over probably one of the worst England sides in decades gave us a false feeling of hope . We are well off the pace of the top nations .
