| Spanish federation sacks World Cup-winning coach on 17:09 - Sep 10 by theloneranger | Why were Swans fans throwing bananas at Garth Crooks 30 years ago?? He retired from football in 1990!! 😂 |
I was there standing about 2, 3rdfs of the way up the bottom section of the North Bank jus slightly east of the halfway line, just one Banana went near Crooks which he promptly picked up peeled the skin back and bit half off and ate it, everyone laughed and clipped around be me, it was a excellent response by Garth. Great little player as well by the way.

| Spanish federation sacks World Cup-winning coach on 21:05 - Sep 11 by max936 | Did you see his behaviour a few months ago, impersonating someone with disabilities in response to getting stick from the crowd, it was disgusting, I'd love to here some defending that appalling behaviour. Just how in loving @@@@ can Rubiales say that the kiss was consensual, he grabbed her either side of her head and planted his lips on Hermoso's lips, she had no say in the matter, he's utterly deluded. |
And the time the fool was playing in headphones to get a reaction. Rubiales is up to 4 years if found guilty, that's without coercion, the big one.

It should either be dismissed or go to trial, depending on the investigating magistrates recommendation to the judge.
| Spanish federation sacks World Cup-winning coach on 16:21 - Sep 15 with 1074 views | theloneranger | "On Friday, an investigating judge at Spain's High Court imposed a restraining order on Rubiales after he appeared in court to be investigated for sexual assault for kissing Hermoso on the lips. Judge Francisco de Jorge issued the restraining order that prohibits Rubiales from being within 200m of Hermoso." "According to a sexual consent law passed in Spain last year, Rubiales could face a fine or a prison sentence of one to four years if found guilty of sexual assault. The new law eliminated the difference between "sexual harassment" and "sexual assault," sanctioning any non-consensual sexual act." https://www.skysports.com/foot | |

He made a point that he was being subjected to ethnic slurs without saying emphatically he was being subjected to ethnic slurs. The pathetic Skysports pay his bills. Gerwyn would be quite within his rights to have gone the legal route and made a test case out of it and got Skysports and the darts organisation in court. This is what Ms Hermoso has done. Gerwyn facial gesture was to highlight the stupidity of the fans not any disability. You see this in Monty Python sketches such as in the Life of Brian. "Crucifixion or freedom".

Under the new Spanish law. Under the so-called "Only Yes is Yes" law, a non-consensual kiss can be considered an offence of sexual assault, so Mr Rubiales could face a fine or even a jail sentence if the case goes to trial and he is found guilty. If he is found not guilty I wonder if the Spanish players, male and femail, will back down or still refuse to play. | | | | Login to get fewer ads

| Spanish federation sacks World Cup-winning coach on 13:15 - Sep 11 by ReslovenSwan1 | His "problem" is he is a proud Welshman with a Welsh name and a feisty character in a hall full of drunks who see ethnics baiting as good old adult themed fun. Some on here argue it is not intrinsically offensive , others argue Welah is not an ethnicity, other argue it is not offensive because it has no relation to the truth. These are from "low end Anglo" apologists. The ethnic slurs were by a large number of people and generally supported by the 4000. He is a Welsh pantomime villain for sure but so was Raheem Sterling at one time with his gangsta gun tattoo remember?. English football has worked this out of their system to a degree. Perpetrators should have been ejected without warning. (Zero tolerance). Instead Skysports turned down the crowd noise so the adult fun could continue without upsetting the viewers and letting middle England see how they behave as compared to those ghastly east Europeans. He brings it on himself (or more relevantly herself) is an oft made argument against the victim. i am like Gerwyn and get called all sorts on here by the usual suspects. |
if the cameras were turned away and the volume turned down, how do you know what was "generally supported"? Gerwyn gets this treatment because he is a bad sport and disliked by a lot of people. He winds the oppo up, gets in their face so the oppo supporters have a go at him. The English didn't give such treatment to previous Welsh darters like palfrey or Burnett, I wonder why? Now on topic, Rubiales is getting what he deserves. I don't know how anyone can stick up for Gerwyn Price AND Rubiales on the same thread.

He can't differentiate between comedy from Monty Python sketches and Price making disgusting gestures towards people in a crowd, if he didn't react they wouldn't do it, I knew he'd defend him though, that was pretty much why I posted about Price's behaviour which was done out of anger.

I do not stick up for Rubiales. What he did was a wrong. I have called him bumbling buffoon. However he should not face a potential four years in jail for his inappropriate and embarrassing actions in a state of euphoria.

"a state of euphoria" Is no excuse for breaking the law, if this is what he has done. Obviously Spain had/has a problem with this type of behaviour, this is why they tightened the law last year.

So Rubiales did what he did because of euphoria. Greenwood did what he did because of rap music. There a theme developing isn’t there?

Both are guilty in my eyes. Greenwood far more so as his actions were violent and with bad intent. I do not think Rubiales was but I could be wrong on that. I have seen men and women flopping onto top of each other in big scrums before. Rubiales is possibly going to jail for 4 years and Greenwood is not. Rubiales's career is pretty much finished Greenwood gets a second chance. Is female violence higher in "black communities" than the average?. Are children in "black communities" more likely to be raised in single families or is it pretty much the same? Perhaps the media skews the anecdotal picture. Rap / hip hop music at least a few years ago was known to be misogynistic. I am not on top of this culture. A derogatory word for women seemed to be used quite a bit such that it is now in common use. As a middle aged white bloke I dare not use it and understand that. I have to walk on eggshells. Our mate Lineker is too. He said of Greenwood. “Inevitable and right decision on an untenable situation”. He called Rubiles a "horrible bloke". UK music have not merged rap with rock USA do it much better. Jay Z and that US rock band doing Numb. Fantastic. [Post edited 16 Sep 2023 14:31]

You don't think there were inducements introduced to make the plaintiff withdraw the complaint then, after all it wouldn't have been the first time. Did you not hear what was he said to the plaintiff.? Apparently they are back together and probably in Spain with him, if that was my daughter I would have moved heaven and earth to have stopped her going with him. Back on thread, Rubiales is finished whatever happens a moment of sheer madness will have cost him much more than he realises and Piers Morgan is a scumbag for doing that interview with him, which was all about another of Morgans ego boosts.

From google; RFEF {The General Assembly is the highest body of government and representation of the RFEF, and is made up of one hundred and forty members, of which twenty are permanent and one hundred and twenty elected, among whom are the President of the RFEF, the Presidents of the nineteen regional federations integrated into the RFEF.} It seems to me the women wanted the coach sacked, they want the replacement coach sacked the head of the RFEF sacked and they want to vet at least their own replacements. This is technically none of their business. They coaches and board were chosen by people elected by the regions of Spain. The women can either represent the Board or chose not to. Rather than replace the men with people more sympathetic to the women's game it seems better to me to separate the men and women games. RFEF should form a sub-division with a women football board board elected by women team clubs under the FREF umbrella. This is probably what the militancy is about. A power grab.

I think the video from the team coach is a problem for the prosecution. The complainant's own apparent lack of concern is one aspect. Then there is the general reaction of the team. When one team mate asks another what happened, she replies, "They gave each other a peck". https://www.telegraph.co.uk/wo P.S. Original link now dead. "The Spanish federation issued train tickets this morning, tourist class, for Barcelona players to go there [Valencia]," Macia said. They want be treated as stars not ordinary folk or Olympians for example. They want first class, Hilton not Holiday Inn and top quality luxury coaches. Thus is perhaps what they mean about 'treatment'. It my be the reason why the issues are not crystal clear. Pay and conditions perhaps.

They can or indeed some people will try and dress this debacle up and condone it, in their bizarre way of thinking, the proof of that is in this thread. At the end of the day, he was a professional football man who was head of his football association and his appalling behaviour brought his association into disrepute in front of the football World,
