Get through this season still in the Championship if we can and regroup that is what this season is all about now.
It is obvious that our middle of the midfield cannot match quicker players we have seen this pairing fail they get played through or they drop off either way allowing the opposition time to thread balls through to well time runs.
Thought our press was good against Hull if we couldn't get the press right the forwards held of the press until our shape was right to initiate the press but Leeds quicker movement didn't allow us to get the marking in the midfield right as as the game wore on the marking got worse and worse again after the substitutions.
One thing Williams has got to realise is that Grimes and Fulton cannot get back quick enough and the counter is easy pickings, Humphreys drove up into the midfield but not covered we have seen this type of scenario time and time again and it was always something that Williams was going to have to learn to our cost. | | | |

That result and performance hasn't dented my belief that we'll get it right. However can someone confirm the formation please, because it was a little confusing at the ground. Was it 4,2,3,1 ? Or something else entirely.
Not sure if Leeds were exceptional or we were abject or both. We need to sort the middle of midfield out as it clearly isn't working, also Cullen should never be a lone striker, poor sod didn't have a chance. Ampadu and Rodon were class and controlled the game in front of them, the way the Leeds attacking players found space was a tad worrying.

At times it seemed like 2,4,3,1 all they had to do was hit the ball into the space where the full back should be and open us up at will. Williams must learn quickly that you can not deploy National League tactics in the Championship, we don't have better quality players than most of the other teams and the managers are outhinking him. He has to be flexible and play the opposition in many matches and not just the way he wants. |  | | |

April is going to be a decisive month for the club.
There are 6 winnable games in a row. If we come out of there with 4 wins or more then we will be fine.
If we can get the squad back to full strength then we should be fine.

Matt Grimes would be named as captain by the manager who selects the team, as have the previous 4 or 5 managers. As far as him being rated as one of the best midfielders in the championship is concerned, That was not quoted by anyone on here but by an experienced opposition manager earlier in the season. | | | |

Which ones though? Birmingham we rode our luck but were winning in injury time. Hull was a good team performance where I didn’t think anyone had a bad game.
