Not long back from the game, some really good posts on this thread.
It was a good win in the end and we scored some nice goals, but there times when Finland passed the ball around really well and were the better team for large part# of the first half.
We’ll need to pull our fingers out on Tuesday as Poland are a tidy team, they beat us twice in the Nations League a few years ago and they’ll be well supported in Cardiff- best away fans I’ve seen at the CCS (for an international of course).
We owe them a beating, but to deliver it we’ll need to buck our ideas up. | | | |

Its not unusual for a referee to be asked to check the monitor in the case of a foul or penalty.

You cannot argue about the result but the football tactic and strategy is not up to scratch. This game result and good goals glosses over a problem with playing style. It was fixed by Speed and then lost.
Page has a talented group but Wales relies on individual brilliance like the Free kick and James clinical finish.
Denmark audited Wales 's poor passing 3 years ago and there is no progress to report. Wilson is "mercurial" mixing brilliance with horrible just like Tom Lawrence.
The energy is great and workrate. Moore's game was a complete mess. Wales are less than the sum of their parts.
One off cup games at home are a big ask for weaker opponents. Wales cannot beat big teams with this lack of style. Croatia's old boys twice struggled with Wales's scruffy high energy style. |  |

I thought Kamara seemed untouchable, James had a hard time marshaling him, Kamara took so many positions to try and move the young Welsh man about who seemed at time in a quandary as to how to play against him but stuck to the role in the midfield covering that area of the pitch knowing he wasn't getting anywhere near Karmara but also ensuring he didn't prove to be more of a threat. A big learning curve for James. | | | |
