Nationalism can be very dangerous. It's why I don't spout on about being proud to be Welsh or British but I do say I am Weslh and British with no pride involved.

Prople need to accept responsibility for what they post online. Too many people are posting things that are just not acceptable and serious harm can be caused, children have committed suicide through online abuse. You don't need to physically touch someone to cause harm, the sentences should be tougher. |

On the face of it a custodial sentence like this for posting some racist nonsense on Twitter is ludicrous when you consider that Huw Edwards walked free for Paedophilia, which gives you some idea of how poorly things are aligned. There needs to be a lot more flexibility within sentencing guidelines, and judges prepared to work within that and use common sense. [Post edited 17 Oct 2024 21:05]

Sentenced today to 31 months in jail. That is a very substantial sentence for an online social media post. We shall have to see how sentences for cases coming through for people on the Left/Palestinian side, like Ricky Jones, compare. |

Indeed. Maybe some of the morons who’re likely to jump on the bandwagon will have been deterred by what they’ve seen. The swift justice and subsequent publicity around sentencing brought an end to the disorder. I dare say there will be the hard liners who aren’t bothered by a spot of porridge at His Majesty’s pleasure, but for most the prospect of some time away from the family, losing their job etc will deter them from getting involved. | | | |

One way to look at this is that prompt, tough action had the desired effect and a line has been drawn under recent civil disturbances. Others will say (or think in private) that the line between what people can say or not say has moved, that this is increasingly different from the way the line is drawn in some other countries such as the United States, that there are issues about relativities in sentencing and a selective focus with a political aspect, and that this adds a new dimension to the culture wars. We'll have to wait and see who is right, but I would not be surprised if there are unintended consequences. | | | |

A warning to online abusers who state they never visit this website but constantly take screenshots and put them on X twisting the narrative.
South Wales Police will be making arrests shortly now advice has been received from the CPS. They have evidenced and collected 52 screenshots regards my family, brain injuries, the death of my mother, accusing me of racism, offering violence to others to assault me, posting mock up photographs of me with intent. Plus acting together to cause malicious communications. They have also targeted the website with unwanted posts on X which with the help of x/Twitter take months to collate. Five witnesses have been approached and have agreed to supply either documented evidence from their websites to prove their continued conduct (although what has been collected is now considered chargeable as indictable offences) And will give evidence.
The hilarious thing is both have deleted their posts in the main but of course that means nothing. The police now have their phone numbers and have evidence of collusion via text messages and X messages.
Here is the offence that has been committed by one over eighteen months and another over six years. The police will be pushing for charges to be dealt with in the crown court. They can’t say they were not warned.
