Swansea City v Wrexham and the FA Premier Cup 17th Dec 2025 11:04 The focus this week is the derby game that isn’t one really, the game between two Welsh sides so far apart it should never be classed as one. Both sides have been scratching around the mid to lower half of the Championship all season and nothing it seems will change on current form.0

Bit racist.

First, Great win It’s all about points Ronald truly is shameful , a stain on our club , a chest and a poor one Burgess gave away a shocker and almost another but extent hide and kept Moore away Galbraith , yet again , outstanding , treasure him while he’s with usthonk Vitor is working hard to eliminate our old ways
Three sloppy goals but so what
Galbraith was immense. Franco hunted players down. Burgess own goal was unlucky. Ronald I thought did well tonight. Went down to easy yes, but there was a few fouls that should of gone our way. Overall very happy with the performance. Wrexham just parked the bus and lumped it up front. Ben did fantastic. Idah did what all good striker's do. There will always be things to work on, but let's enjoy tonight.

We didn't look particularly good but were still the better team in terms of ability on the ball, possession, chances etc. Wrexham very limited in truth. A big, strong, direct side that will run all day and do their best to outmuscle a side and hope the ref is weak enough to let them get on with it, which tonight he was.
What was pleasing is that we're much, much better at fighting until the final whistle and that paid off for us tonight, aided by a bit of luck. Matos was a mixed bag on his subs. I'd certainly have left Inoussa and Widell on, but the changes he made with Yalcouye and Fulton certainly added a bit of steel and combativeness that had ebbed away.
A deserved three points overall.

Indeed It’s about the team not individual fans I thought Vig was solid when he needed to be If we stay up then the vultures will be circling for Matos If he fixes us , we won’t be able to keep him He has the pedigree
Any way a day off tomorrow for us so enjoy the day and your lives

Thought Eom gave them sometime to think about when he came on, we sat back after scoring, which as we all know is very dangerous, putting fulton on possibly showed us that matos was happy with the draw but I thought yalcouye was busy and helped us get going and we had a purple patch ending with a deserved goal, even though it was lucky, we deserve a bit of luck.

Wrexham just came to bully us which they did effectively and a times clearly fouling out players but some reason the ref seemed to think it was ok, not sure about the first penalty shout as it was on the furthest side away from me .Once our first goal went in I thought that we would go on and get another as when pressed Wrexhams defence seemed all over place but then we seemed to back over allowing them to win at least 4 corners one of which I thought with Moores presence would concede from but fair play with the exception of Vig flapping at one I thought we dealt with well. Agree with leaving Inossa on as I thought he was a better threat than Ronald and imo should start before him. Great atmosphere at the beginning but it took a while to get going again after conceding but we recovered and it was very reminiscent of some great nights we've had over the years .

Great win against a side who came to pressure and bully us with a Ref who did sweet fa to protect our players, although I think Galbraith got away with one on O'brien on another day and all that.
At the end of the day we sent them packing happy days.

I’ve seen a close up of the Ronald foul when McClean seemed to step over him right at the end. He actually stamped on his head. Not a lot but he did.
A great believer in taking anything you like to wherever you want to.
A great battling 3 points , Wrexham were poor and one dimensional, everything about playing Moore in ,we kept him quiet and they had no other plan ,we were the better team and the only one trying to win the game and we did,we fought to the end and got the result well done lads You can see a difference in our play over the last 4 games, emphasis on playing on the front foot and attacking quicker and not faffing about at the back and it’s getting results Great to have Vitor’s coaching staff in ,now he can really get his tactics through to the players ,onwards and upwards Swans

MERRY CHRISTMAS TO YOU ALL AND A HAPPY AND HEALTHY NEW YEAR

I saw it as well he seemed to kick back with his left foot for me, he knew what he was doing without doubt, that apart I thought he did naff all, Ronald played quite well if you ignore his theatric's.

We definitely deserved to win Wrexham were very, very poor. There were dirty fouls by them, but we don't get them because we have a reputation for going down to easily, Franco and Ronald need to man up. Wrexham supporters if you can call them that are very quiet, they just turn up to watch the game not support their team, I'm very glad we put them back in their box. We are not far off being a decent team although the match was won with a couple of scrappy goals. I have often criticised Idah but in fairness he had a strikers instinct tonight to score the winning goal. Cabango tonight played like a captain, was Moore actually playing.

Just think a few weeks ago we all believed we were down!! now we are what 2 wins away from challenging for the play offs? Weve all slammed idah, bit the last few games im impressed with him with the ball at his feet, just get the coaches ro wind him up a bit.
its not perfect, but its a job in progress....I see the light as it says in the Blue Brothers.

A bit more composure in the final third wouldn't go amiss when we try and break quickly we try and rush things unable to hold things up until support arrives, there seems very little understanding of how to not snatch at chances, how many of our long ranges shots were too far out to have a realistic chance of beating the goalie, a little more guile to get us closer to and into the box because as we have seen chances come with defected shots and pressure on mediocre players in the box, Vipotnik gets a chance to turn and shoot not as much power as normal but a deflection gets the goal and for the second what appeared an easy ball for the keeper to deal with but with pressure and confusion come a comedy of errors but you have to have players in position to take advantage. We had a couple of note worthy shot the best of which was Stamenic which I think a number of us thought was going in. Widell was excellent, exceptional was Galbraith, strong and robust were Ronald and Inoussa even with Ronald theatrics, I though Inoussa didn't support Tymon well enough allowing the wide man to cut back inside to cross, if Inoussa had got tighter then the player wouldn't had the space to do so, it happened a few times and once led to a pretty poor goal to give away. Three home wins in a row not complaining so much as looking for things to sharpen up on also nice to see if the ref wasn't going to give us the benefit of the doubt in so many challenges that we matched them in staying stronger on the ball than in the past. Nice to see a full house it makes a difference.
