Rams v Swans : Home and away both sides need to be better 11th Feb 2026 08:00
Olle Söderholm previews the big game on Saturday as the Swans head to Derby County for their crucial Championship fixture at Pride Park. The avid Swansea City and IK Sirius fan joins us on the Indy again as he proves his knowledge with some very astute analysis. There will be more to come from Olle for sure. 0

Swans in massive six pointer this weekend ! 13th Feb 2026 08:00
Rhys Clayton takes a look at this weekends fixture against Derby County at Pride Park, a game where the Swans have taken up an allocation of around 1,600 which despite the gap between the two sides is actually a six pointer. 0

Derby County v Swansea City : Match day on the Indy : Team News 14th Feb 2026 08:00
It’s a big old six pointer this afternoon at Pride Park with two sides meeting who are looking upwards not downwards. If the Swans somehow can get the points they pull level with the Rams, if they lose they fall six points behind them. The mad old Championship delivers another weekend of fun. 0

Swans frustrate after first half domination at Derby 14th Feb 2026 17:59
The Swans went to Derby with clear intent to win this encounter but sadly didn’t have the know how to unlock the Derby defence to go down by two goals to nil this afternoon. Despite that the addition of Gustavo Nunes was a highlight but the negativity and frustration of the Swans play leading up to his introduction was the key point to be taken from this game. 0

Agree with you
You’re probably right about Burgess marking the CH but we need to find an answer for marking tall forwards at corners even just jumping with them to put them off would help and be better than allowing free headers
Oh and putting early crosses in up front would help too

The answer is a goalkeeper with 3 foot long arms who can come off his goal line! That would out jump any centre forward.

No the answer is to have real competition for the No 1 jersey
Larry came and became such as he is way better but he has much to improve upon but the alternative is self evident
It’s why we see so many “ defending” Fish as they feel sorry for him
How many jobs pay well for sitting on a bench in football kit for four years

At corners or set pieces attacking sides use blockers not just to put defending players off but also the keeper.

I was there yesterday but I haven't seen the goals but expect derby's players considering they are a set piece side to employ this tactic.

Personally I think Agyemang is a beast of a player with speed and strength, we aren't the only team he has caused problems this season. Add in that they now have Morris coming back from injury, they are really going to be a handful together.

Vigs is a big lad ,6’6 ,if he jumped with his arm extended to punch the ball he could probably clear a lot, he just prefers to stay stuck on his line

He has one of the best goalkeeping coaches in the UK advising and mentoring him, who are we to criticise.

I think it’s a lot to do with the way the game has evolved, back in the day British keepers ruled their areas , great under the high ball ,getting stuck in,not just punching but catching the ball as well and it was foreign keepers who couldn’t cope with the high balls ,nowadays it’s rare to see a British keeper comfortable in the air ,almost like they’re afraid of contact and taking a knock
The emphasis now is for the keeper to be more of a footballer , like a sweeper almost , playing passes out from the back

Left the game yesterday with my son wondering why we reverted to the old sideways and backwards style of football that’s got us nowhere in recent seasons. This slow, cautious, and bland approach shouldn’t be seen ever again in SA1 or anywhere else for that matter, hopefully the coaches see it as just a one-off or relapse after what’s been a good positive spell.

We played okay in parts of the first half yesterday but carried no attacking threat, leaving Derby more than happy to sit back and watch us play crab football. Their only real outlet was Agyemang, who bullied an exposed Cabango throughout the first half, with little support from Burgess or anyone else. This was frustrating as it was obvious to everyone where their danger lay. A shape change or more support could’ve nullified it, especially since there wasn’t much threat elsewhere??

Burgess and Cabango tend to keep a big gap between them to help keep possession, which works when we have the ball but is a problem when we don’t. Failing to address this early on and leaaving Cabango exposed just encouraged Derby to keep hitting the big man, who regularly won free kicks and got them up the pitch—it was like watching a praying mantis chasing its prey.

A hugely frustrating performance overall, but on balance, I have to accept we’re a mid-table team, still a work in progress with lots of room to improve, especially on physicality and also the dark arts of defending.

I stand corrected
But still tall enough to jump and punch the ball instead of staying rooted to the line
Great reaction saver though

They didn't actually. Nobody blocked Vigs at all, but they don't have to anyway. He just stands there doing the mannequin challenge. Have a look at the second goal as it's easier to pick up on this.

I meant blocking attacking players to stop them making decent runs for the cross, nothing was done to stop agyemang for his goal, although you are right re vig, I dont know why he doesnt come off his line on occasions, he used to when he first came here, perhaps hes been told to stay on his line.

Your username is only seen after and the days after a defeat.

Surely the above sentence must hit home?

Wrong
You know that
You also should know I post as I feel
You should also know you post like a Pavlov dog
We see thing differently , or do we
You criticise players and that is fine
You question players , as you should

Hasn’t this sunk in yet

We both love this club Fact
I’m a lot older than you and seen it all
I am beholden to nobody and couldn’t give a feck about whoever thinks whatever about OHL

Eventually , the thrill of going to games will come along and if you get to my age other matters will take precedence that booking hotels , trains , drinking and talking shyte , as we all do

I probably have less time less than you and I make sure I waste not a second whilst I’m still able to

Now , either get back to work , have a coffee , read the Bible or just make love to your wife

You could always join in on the non footy forum on the six nations thread where OHL is in full hate mode

It’s great on there

You see , these issues can be sorted out face to face , which is why I’ve invited you several times for a chat over a good lunch

Not liking someone is a good starting point for a discussion
Trouble is not all can discuss

Get my point ?

You only post negativity, you only post when we lose, you only feel negativity,

I criticise when i see bad things happen on or off the pitch but i praise like most on here do when i see good things.

You only cone on here when we lose, yes?

And btw me going out, watching the swans or wales, meeting mates, drinking beer, talking shyte, having a good laugh will get more regular as I get older, I wont turn into a bitter old man like you, who is only happy when hes moaning, what a sad existence, I couldnt think of anything worse.
