Rams v Swans : Home and away both sides need to be better 11th Feb 2026 08:00
Olle Söderholm previews the big game on Saturday as the Swans head to Derby County for their crucial Championship fixture at Pride Park. The avid Swansea City and IK Sirius fan joins us on the Indy again as he proves his knowledge with some very astute analysis. There will be more to come from Olle for sure. 0

Swans in massive six pointer this weekend ! 13th Feb 2026 08:00
Rhys Clayton takes a look at this weekends fixture against Derby County at Pride Park, a game where the Swans have taken up an allocation of around 1,600 which despite the gap between the two sides is actually a six pointer. 0

Derby County v Swansea City : Match day on the Indy : Team News 14th Feb 2026 08:00
It’s a big old six pointer this afternoon at Pride Park with two sides meeting who are looking upwards not downwards. If the Swans somehow can get the points they pull level with the Rams, if they lose they fall six points behind them. The mad old Championship delivers another weekend of fun. 0

Swans frustrate after first half domination at Derby 14th Feb 2026 17:59
The Swans went to Derby with clear intent to win this encounter but sadly didn’t have the know how to unlock the Derby defence to go down by two goals to nil this afternoon. Despite that the addition of Gustavo Nunes was a highlight but the negativity and frustration of the Swans play leading up to his introduction was the key point to be taken from this game. 0

Derby County v Swansea City : Match day thread on 13:46 - Feb 14 by KeithHaynes

Swansea City: Lawrence Vigouroux; Ethan Galbraith, Ben Cabango (captain), Cameron Burgess, Josh Tymon; Marko Stamenic, Goncalo Franco, Liam Cullen; Ronald, Jisung Eom, Zan Vipotnik.

Substitutes: Andy Fisher, Josh Key, Jay Fulton, Melker Widell, Malick Yalcouye, Ishe Samuels-Smith, Gustavo Nunes, Leo Walta, Joel Ward.

Experience instead of talented youth. I expect to see Widell, Yalcouye, Nunes, Walta, and possibly Josh Key or Fulton in the 2nd half.

I like playing Cullen at home, but would've preferred to see Malick starting. Would be Melker if he was 100%

Derby have been pegged back well, five shots maybe six on goal, none on target. Ronald really needs to get his head on as moves are breaking down consistently with him doing too much. Eom doing ok, Franco having a great game. Can’t see this continuing in the second half Eustace won’t be happy with this.

Keep our heads and the Swans can win this.

Lots of control, lots of possession, but not enough created.

Cullen should be nowhere near the starting lineup, home or away, barring an injury crisis.

Pain or damage don't end the world. Or despair, or f*cking beatings. The world ends when you're dead. Until then, you got more punishment in store. Stand it like a man... and give some back.

We’ve played well but not effectively if that makes any sense. They are giving us the freedom of the midfield at times and I’d really like to see us exploit that if their formation stays that way.

Special shout out to Tymon and Eon but the latter may just want to look up and assess options when he gets in the box. Can’t blame him for having a go at goal though.

Stamenic off now id say as he won’t be playing next week and he’s a risk of a red.

The existing narrative default is a narrow unlucky away loss. Walta and Gustavo are there to change the narrative. Top players change outcomes away from home.

Onto next week.

very disappointing today, we are at this time a mide table side and that showed today , LOTS of work to do and unless we bring in more quality in the summer next season will be the same looking at the teams coming down, was hoping for a run of wins but not to be just not good enough

We deservedly lost that game. The lack of energy and ideas in the second half not to mention urgency in the last 15 to rescue something was unbelievable. Too many touches around the back / midfield. A very poor second half at the office.

As for the two goals, both from corners, both from poor / non-existent marking. That HAS to improve. We may need to splash out on some better defenders though I know the two CHs are popular and do a job. But are they really good enough and are we physical enough in defensive midfield? The goals today suggest maybe not but I’m happy to be proven wrong.

Disappointing day.

Very frustrating to watch,we’ve had plenty of the ball but conceded 2 terrible goals from a defensive point of view ,Derby’s tallest forward marked by Stamenic ? , who has been beaten in our box in the air before by tall players at set pieces, surely our tallest defender should have been marking him ,and he nearly scored another
Also Derby have crossed into our box early when they break while we break at speed and instead of playing a quick cross into the box while the defence is retreating we stop and play the ball backwards allowing them to set up ,ludicrous, you ain’t gonna score goals by waiting to walk into the net ,like I said very frustrating
You have to get the ball in the box to score….. it’s not rocket science is it !!!!
And We can’t concede goals like that

Matos got it all wrong today. Very reminiscent of a Williams/Shehan performance.
Stop picking Cullen and Ronald, they are like a pair of male a wish kids on the pitch. Offering nothing to the team and hindering attack after attack.

Key point in the game.
Eom being greedy again.
If he had squared to Vipotnik in first half we would have been one up.
He insists on shooting every time. He will get 3 or 4 goals all season but in my opinion if he was a team player and passed we would score lots more.

I don’t know Steve but a lot today was down to our own doing rather than the opposition. As Shandy said above it was redolent of a Sheehan / Williams game. Surging forward but stopping and passing back.

I don't know what the answer is and I'm not sure if anyone has, nodded off in that 2nd half for 10 mins, still smothering with a poxy cold, hot water went down on the boiler this week managed to sort a new diverter valve out yesterday and it a turned up late morning managed to get it changed before game started, thankfully.

The number of times I was shouting ‘cross it ‘ ,today ,we had plenty of opportunities to cross quick balls in but as you point out turned and played it back ,all that does is let the opponent defence get into position and their midfield to mark our players up WHY !!!

Williams and Sheehan ball al right

The word I was thinking about re Derby was effective as it happens. They were extremely unimpressive but they did what they do effectively. We didn't.
