Plus the interest around Vipotnik, who is just about the clubs highest wage earner.
Going to have to sell someone I’m certain, but I suppose at least the club has the players to financially improve matters. Some don’t. This is another area of concern with Tom Gorringe involved in all areas of the club with nobody full time heading up recruitment directing the sporting role. Can’t go on, but it is saving money. Frustrating as it is.

I don't understand what's going on with Gorringe. The guys who own the club are solid hands on business men who have run companies, not just investment people. They know what you have to do to get a company singing along nicely.
I can only guess that they are in the middle of some transformation, get rid of the old obstructionist cadre, and Gorringe is handling that 'blood on the carpets' phase, but I struggle to believe that.
However I look at it, losing Worth was a mistake and shouldn't have been allowed to happen. | | | |

Recruitment and selling at the right price seems central to out strategy, not having a full time competent person overseeing this, as you say, can not go on we will come unstuck eventually.
We have the makings of a competitive side but we need to make sure we get the right pieces in place in this window. |  |

We would be silly not to cash in on Vipi this summer. As good as he’s been his value isn’t going to go any higher than it is now. And if he starts next season and doesn’t score as many that price tag will rapidly fall. We have Idah who looked really sharp after coming back from injury, Wilson potentially as backup and a hefty sale for vipi could finance 4 or 5 very good players for this level. |  |

Agree , Galbraith’s injury didn’t weaken us ,as we have good cover in the middle,losing Zan however would as you say be a different matter and would really hurt ,as Idah , who did look sharp after returning,is a different type of player ,not an out and out 9 like Zan and he hasn’t been his whole career,he played mostly up front on the left as a second striker ,Cullen isn’t the answer either as we’ve seen too many times ,if our owners have any ambition ,We would need to source a 9 from somewhere that fits in where Zan left off , not an easy task these days with every other club looking for a goalscorer of that calibre the fees being demanded for such a player ,who would be expected to hit the ground running
Wrexham are going to try to buy promotion next season because FFP is going to catch up with them at some point,so they have to go for it next season ,but I think the 3 teams coming down will have enough about them to get back up with the squad’s they will still have | | | |

The money we would get for Vipotnik would buy a replacement plus other squad members, the money we would get for Galbraith won't get us a decent replacement. If Galbraith doesn't sign a new contract some will be surprised how little we will get for him. |  | | |

If we use the money for VIP on better midfield players who can contribute to the goals then there wouldn’t be a problem. We had the league’s top goal scorer this season yet our GD was pitiful. We need goals from elsewhere. Idah will score a good few if his end of season form continues. | |

We were the 5th lowest attendance in the championship so our wage bill is in line with our support. Perhaps if more supporters turned up we could pay higher wages. | |
