Very different times and even procuring sex at the time of these allegations from a sixteen plus year old was not against the law. Which was changed in the new sexual offences act thankfully. He built his empire at a time when extreme types of pornography was considered acceptable, even advertising as he did for fifteen year olds to look at a career in modelling which is nuts.

Interesting take on the law. Presumably you cannot be charged for crimes committed decades ago when the crime did not brak the law at the time.
The defence would be " As a good citizen I never broke the law as it was at that time".
