Should be some news on transfers before midweek next week.

Swans apparently have a few deals tied up, working on that as long as it doesn’t t affect the clubs business. Will be potentially two transfers out in the coming few weeks. Swans have business tied up but nothing will move forwards until Wednesday at the earliest due to new SCR rules.

Average time to conduct and complete transfers is taking longer than ever. Up to three weeks. The legality of the transfers, all the caveats which some run into hundreds of legal points are getting more scrutiny than ever. And then it will be deadline day where it all happens in a few hours 🤷🏻‍♂️

Let’s see what happens.

We are well covered in that area as seen at the end of last season. Not many DM's score 4 goals.

Walta as a 10 next season will be enough to replace him, see the end of last season when he was injured.


Walta was looking very, very good in those last few games. Very excited to hopefully seeing him carry on like that this coming season.

I won't lie, I laughed at this with Galbraith. What a strange transfer. You would think he would have more ambition. Clearly he really wanted out. Bookmark this, he will do the same to Stoke when bigger clubs come calling a year later.

I think there is more than just money behind his wish to move from us. There is something more personal imo. Nit settled in the area, not feeling right at the club, personal differences??

I don’t buy it that he was hacked off being stuck at FB and threw a hissy one. He’s played there before and he would have known he was the natural choice given our situation at RB at that time.

If we could have stayed there we would have a new generation of fans only focussing on the Swans. It wouldn’t stop everyone from glory hunting because we would never be a United or Liverpool but it would be better.

All that said, others may disagree but I don’t think we’d be filling out an expanded ground now if we’d stayed there. The obvious games yes but week in week out? I doubt it.

Right now ? In Minorca ( very windy) and saw a West Ham towel poolside

We had empty seats last time we were in the Premier League, not every game sold out. But I do feel if we extended we would have bigger gates than now, larger away support for a start plus a crowd draws a crowd.

I’ve got this feeling that he’s become a red line for matos - and he seems really happy here. I know money talks but I’m sure he’s on much better terms here after his new contract.

How much of that was down to people thinking we were permanently sold out? I agree we must expand the ground. I have a bit of hope with all the noise around the new partnerships/sponsorships but how much would it cost to add an extra tier to three sides of the ground? 100 million????

I don't believe any extension would take place until we own the ground. So one step at a time.

100%. I still find it strange his lack of ambition. Money talks clearly. It's either gonna go 2 ways, he has an average season or he does brilliantly and he'll be having a strop this time next year in order to get a move away to a bigger club

He knew the deal with the RB issue. He like any player should understand it was a need must. Key was playing terrible and Ward didnt have the legs. It's clearly money and him not wanting to be in Swansea. I'm almost looking forward to seeing him on first day of season and we leave something on him 😜. Petty. Maybe. 😄 I never said I was perfect 😜😜

He's a city boy and likes the city vibe previously playing in Manchester and London, not everyone appreciates fresh air and beautiful scenery. From Stoke, Manchester Liverpool and Birmingham are under an hour away by train, London an hour and a half and are all frequent. The lifestyle will suit him just fine, but career wise its another story.

Hopefully.

If we do end up buying the stadium then naming rights will be a big earner which will all come to the Club. It was also said by someone (Keith ?) that last season we achieved our season long target on merchandise before Christmas. So the end of season figure must have been very good. Hopefully even better this season.

Then if the Fanzone gets done those three things alone will give a real major boost to finances.
