I think its more about the financial loss that Trump claimed and is clearly not true. He has to produce evidence which he can't and will rather withdraw than have his financial dealings dragged through the courts. Why would that be? | | | |

Honestly, I hope Trump loses here.
He doesn't need the money. And any notion that this will teach the media to self reflect and become fair and accountable just sounds like a goofy-assed fairy tale at this point. The BBC surely has the insurance to minimize its exposure, so the last thing I want is to give the mainstream media something they'll hold up as anti-press attack, never a referendum on bias and ethics. | |

The BBC were bang out of order, but Trump went into overdrive and claimed it affected his business and reputation. The $10B lawsuit is just ridiculous and now it has backfired on Trump and he has to produce documents including tax returns. Personally I don't think he will and just withdraw.
