Went for the Silver Zone parking in the end. Shuttle direct to the terminal.
Did the same at Gatwick in Feb and it was fairly straightforward. | |

Yes. Had to drop Mrs. Winston and her daughter off in July, but they both balked at the wait for the shuttle bus so Muggins ended up paying £8 odd to drop them off directly.

Cost me over a tenner earlier this year to pick a family member up , confirm the flights landed and allow time for who ever to clear the terminal before venturing inside because you’re time starts once you enter the airport grounds . |  |

I know it’s been done to death on here previously, but I’ve come to really disliking flying from Bristol because it just seems like one endless rip off.
There’s a lack of proper competition when it comes to parking and the prices are steep, the drop off charges are also a rip off and the double red lines and cameras mean you can’t park anywhere. On top of that, the seating areas are relatively small and at peak hours it’s just a massive cattle market. The airport is now majority owned by Macquarie (previously of Thames Water). | | | |

We use Cardiff as its more convenient, more destinations are definitely needed, we hoping to pop off somewhere in October hopefully Portugal, we booked Portugal for last week, but cancelled due to Mrs needing a biopsy, Jersey was ok, but St Helier has changed massively since our last visit about 16/18 yrs ago and it bloody expensive there.

It does have a much better choice of destinations, but I really do try to avoid using Bristol if there are alternatives.
Only 1 of my last 6 trips has been from Bristol, the rest have been from Cardiff, Birmingham (first choice if I can’t go from Cardiff) and long haul from Gatwick. All were nicer experiences than Bristol. | | | |

Is it more to do with what the airlines choose where to run the routes from. If they thought there was enough demand (which there is but we all have to go to Bristol) they would. Anyone familiar with airport management? Can Rhoose Airport offer lower fees to the airlines?
Bristol is in such a good position for so many in the South West but I am getting fed up of the two hour trip up to that place and being treated like a piece of meat. We use our lounge passes to avoid the melee in the main areas but shouldn't have to. | |

Bigger the airport the worse it is
We use Liverpool airport wherever possible
They’ve just in teased drop off however to &7
We get local taxi transfer
Far less destination choice but everything is quicker and cheaper than Manchester which is horrific
They train staff to a level of incompetence not seen in most airports cpuplrxwith true contempt for customers
